I love my 4.6 DOHC, but as others have mentioned, it's huge up top. It is also extremely expensive to work on and doesn't have the support that GM crate motors have.

You are right by far. 525 HP at around half the cost of the LS7 and a third the cost of the LS9. By the time you get to the cost of the LS7, you could add all the accessories, ECM, throttle and a 6-speed.
That's what I thought too. Like I said, I don't' have a system so i haven't done any experiments or measurements myself. But, I've been assured it gets an extra run or so out of a bottle.
Dentists don't have to heat their bottles because they trickle the gas out and don't' release copious amounts in seconds so the bottle don't get substantially cold.
Gases cool dramatically when decompressed, as in when the vale opens and the gas rushes out of the bottle when in use. Therefore, the bottle temp will drop dramatically when in use; ice has been known to form on them. When the temp drops, so does the pressure. As I understand, they're heated to keep the pressure from…
clearly it's a truck that is usually put into service as a repo truck and the guy cares more about the success of the pick than the condition of the drop.
Nope. In fact, they should have just named today's article Crack Pipe or Über Crack Pipe.
This is a '90s crap box that has been badly messed with and had the odometer unplugged for a majority if it's life. If you gave me $3500, I'd take it off your hands.
All I've got to say is that if Florida is indeed the USAs "wang", wee need to quite giving it shit and acting like we'd be better if it were cut off. We're going to have to live with all it's faults, even when it makes US do stupid things. We don't want the world calling us dickless. Well, at least we don't' want them…
This airport is not stranger to accidents. One last month where an aborted takeoff on 17 resulted in a plane going through the fence and coming to rest upside down on the gravel road at the other end of the airport. Another the month before where two people died after takeoff when their plane descended into trees.…
That's how weather is done. Like this CONVECTIVE SIGMET:
I couldn't agree more. I consider myself a die-hard Ford guy, but as I counted the other day, I realized that only 6 (7 if you count the Lincoln) of the 16 cars that have been in my name in my life were Fords: 4 Mustangs (1 currently) and 2 pickups (currently 1 inop F1). I've had a Fiat 128S, Datsun 720, BMW, Toyata…
As of this point there are at least 71 people who were apparent victims of cereal bowl urination this morning. Seriously, who's voting CP on this? I don't care if your a flower-in-the-hair bra-less hippy from the sixties whose father was killed in Korea while pulling a child out from in front of careless General on…
^ that's not a realistic inflatable car.
Right, DCTs. I didn't realize they were getting to be that accessible as I haven't bought a vehicle for personal use for almost 5 years. I knew they were in Audis and assumed they were either in VWs or would be soon.
There is a huge difference between a DSG and a typical, torque converter slushbox. That really should be a third category. A paddle-shifted torque converter auto is a piece of crap that would come in at at least 8 Courics*. A Paddle shifted DSG, on the other hand, gives the driver all the control of a manual with…
