I saw The Oranges. Blair Waldorf dates House! It was an alright movie. It is fun to see Hugh Laurie in a strangely romantic role.

I am so tired of the "Women as Gatekeepers" fallacy, I just can't... When is that shit just gonna go away?

I admit I was teasing you, but I wasn't trolling. The point of my joke was that "Yay! Will Ferrell is supporting lady comedians! About time!" and your reaction was that he should have done it sooner. It's like, he is doing it now isn't he? That's a good thing. We can't go back in time. We can't see what moment

I think he is referring to Hunger Games as the thing Westerners are more familiar with in general when he says "Cultural Touchstone". He does make a point of saying it is actually more similar to Battle Royale, but just in case some of the readers are uninitiated it is a fair comparison to make.

Well, I'm kind of irked that he didn't travel back in time and assasinate Hitler. I used to like him, but now... I just don't know.

Or the novel it is all based off of. Really fantastic.

THANK YOU! I was just trying to explain this to my Aunt a couple days ago. I am cisgendered and I try to be a good ally. I try to explain some of these points to others, who while they are trying to be open minded, think in antiquated terms. I sent this article off to her, hopefully she'll have a better

As someone who has dealt personally with substance abuse (as in I was the abuser), it isn't an easy thing to quit even when you KNOW it is going to kill you someday, even when you KNOW that you could destroy every relationship in your life. Trivializing that struggle like this is pretty ignorant in my opinion. Also

"When I think "tragedy", I think of St Judes, of genocide, of articles I read in the paper. But, yes, either way, a death, is sad." Shhhh... You aren't making this situation any better. No more Twitter for a while, ok?

Yep, I'm 30 and I've never had a driver's liscence either. It kind of seems a little too late now and since I live in Portland (we have a great public transit system) and a boyfriend who really likes driving it doesn't matter much.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan either. Even my boyfriend thought it was pretty great and I really wanted to... but nope, I didn't really care for it.

I thought "wild" was a strange choice here too. That kid's hair looks pretty well managed to me.

This was fun, but not fun-ny. Except for maybe the little bit of snark at the end.

I too use lovely to mean "nice" or "great". For instance recently I called my boyfriend's family "lovely." While they are reasonably good looking, that wasn't what I was referring to.

Don't get me wrong, still love me some James Marsters. Now I have just seen the ways of Giles-shipping.

The first time I watched Buffy I was all about Spike, the most recent time I was all of the sudden floored by how hot Giles is/was. I have heard this isn't an unusual reaction.

Sweet Fuse for the PSP is a good time as well.

Academically, that may be debatable.

And a billion years later, the house was finally painted.

This exactly. For my friends you can tell me once if you are worried about me smoking (or whatever unhealthy activity I'm partaking in). If you ride my ass, we aren't going to be friends for very long. I am planning on quitting in Jan (for the second time), not because my friends get on me about it all the time,
