Wow I think you just nailed it on all points.

I test drove the Mazda 6 too and it was very quiet. Felt a lot like an Audi inside. Just didn’t have enough giddyup. I honestly think if they made the Mazda 6 with a turbo they could steal some buyers from the 3-Series/C Class/A4 market. I didn’t really want the pretension of a luxury badge but went ahead anyway for

Ohhhh wow. I have a TDI SportWagen and absolutely would have replaced it with that were it available. I couldn’t stomach the cost of a Volvo.

My friend and former roommate was a roadie for him. His set for the last tour was like a house party, and they had people up there on stage sitting on couches drinking out of solo cups and such — so I was one of those people! It was surreal. Then we all hung out back stage for the rest of the night. My friend the

I met him once — he is shy and intense in person! Makes sense that he doesn’t do a lot of on-camera interview stuff.

I read that the settlement specified that they couldn’t be resold without the “fix,” even in countries that don’t have the same emissions standards that the U.S. has. So depending on the desirability of the cars post-fix, they may very well be parted out. That’s a lot of metal.

Weird! I would be calling a bunch. I bet the volume will drop in the next few days.

Yeah I don’t know what Kara’s talking about, the shorts won’t be anywhere near short enough until they’re above mid-thigh. I’ve been dreaming of that day for many moons now.

Haha! Yeah the 3-Series is a whole new world of “vroom” for sure! It’ll take some getting used to but at least your gas costs aren’t doubling like mine! Ok not quite doubling, but I will miss only having to fill up every other week, especially once winter hits here in MN!

Yikes, I haven’t submitted my docs yet and was really hoping to get my funds by 12/1 at the latest...

Same — got a 3 Series and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Now to get my cash too :)

Today in Guess the Arrest Record! Gucci Mane or United States Representative Darrell Issa!

Haha I’m listening to Grigio Girls right now and I guess it must be for me — maybe because I’m in my 30s and married (aka living a pretty conventional life) but I feel it! Sounds like funny nights with my friends when we were single.

I recently discovered this phenomenon when my co-worker with grade-school aged kids gave me a ride to lunch — and there was a car seat in the back! I was like WHAAAT??? They have to be like 80 lbs or something to no longer need a booster in the back? It seems like parenting just gets more and more restrictive and

Medieval people were very crude and direct with their street names it seems!!

Ahhh I didn’t think of it that way! I thought it was just an illustration of how it was so hot no mortal could touch it.

I’ve been reading these for an hour and this is the first one that made my heart pound! Glad you’re safe!!

Starbuck, is that you?? ;)

I had a very similar experience with my mom in Oxford! I was going to school there at Lady Margaret Hall (if you happen to be familiar) and was showing her around when she came to visit. We were sightseeing around dusk and turned off the high street onto a really small alley that comes out by the front gate of Merton.

This is a great story and I love the ending! But cast iron/potbellied stoves don’t glow when they’re hot. I grew up with one. They’re really really thick metal. You can see glowing through the cracks in the door where you load wood though! Might be a good thing to edit.
