I got whooping cough as an adult from destroying my immune system with too much partying (I had been vaccinated as a kid). It lasted 6 months and I had to stop about every 100 steps to bend over and cough for a good minute or three. It REALLY sucked. I can’t imagine what that would be like for a tiny baby. :(
