Exclusive license = zero incentive to innovate.

It is one of those games where you lose a lot if it's not on PC. I can't imagine not having access to texture packs and not being able to move my saves and back them up. Also, you can't take screenshots. I've been working on my Minecraft town for months now, and though it is far from finished, I'm proud of what

"Can it send photos of you and your friends to the police when it knows you're watching pirated content?"

Maybe to newcomers but for people who've played the bejesus out of Vanilla, it's a no go.

Only when MS says you can though!

Meanwhile on PC, mods galore.

Everyone at MS needs to be as "yes it can" as possible when it comes to Xbox one. It already seems like I can't do much.

THANK YOU... I'm in the exact same boat. PSone worked fine up until I sold it. PS2 still works to this day. I had 3 Xbox 360's die in a 4 year span, so I bought a PS3 in early 2010, watch Blu Rays on it constantly, watch Netflix and Hulu on it constantly (which I don't have to pay MS to allow me to do) and play games

The PS Eye is $59.99, and not a required peripheral to enjoy the vast majority of PS4 games. Even if you did decide to pick one up, you would still come in at $40 less than an XBone.

Perhaps I would have cared, if I hadn't already pre-ordered a PS4 in my local region (New Zealand).

Cloud computing is possible, cloud computing in gaming is possible, using cloud computing to dramatically improve the graphics or physics, isn't. Or at least not in the way Microsoft is leading people to believe.

The difference here is that Sony is giving the devs an OPTION to do it. Its not mandatory on the PS4 to be allways online. I can understand if a dev decides to get their game to focus on using online for cloud computing. Thats fine. But if the console itself REQUIRES it, then that is a huge flaw. A HUGE fucking flaw.

It is in regards to creating a large world like SimCity, or even Forza's virtual drivers. But Microsoft is claiming graphical enhancements, literally better looking clouds by being on the cloud.

Yeah, it's pretty shameful that a Japanese company is more supportive of military members than an American company.

I think the money maker here is if Microsoft makes this optional. I think it's a pretty awesome idea to be honest. This sounds to me more like how I would define "next-gen" console gaming as.

This defies almost all knowledge of computing I know... I mean, it is possible to send a task via network to a remote computer to process a job on the cloud, and then send back the results. We saw this with the PS3 and the Folding@Home project.

Wait, so if this kind of inter device connectivity can be applied beyond the Xbox versions, what's so special about Smartglass?
