The “bullshit” is the point. That’s part of baseball. It’s why having instant replay took so long to be introduced. baseball can and should be subjective. My guess is that ever since the stats side of baseball took off, the pursuit of removing variables has been been a priority. the slide rule, the contact at the…
never understood the appeal of an avalanche it really doesn’t seem be a good SUV or a useful pickup truck. plus it looks funny, like fanny pack funny. kinda useful i guess, but there has to be a better way.
yeah, but then he went right back to celebrating. so you could be happy, sad after you’re informed about your mom, but then you don’t go back to smiling and being happy in the next breath.
Owners of the above list also own vaginas.
Oh no you didn’t...
Isn’t the ability to switch from happy, to insane fury, to happy again, in 4 seconds a sign of a psychopath?
if he wasn’t even charged, let alone convicted. How does MLB have any right to suspend him?
Pretty normal in all the architectural firms I’ve worked in. I was surprised after college too, the conference room often sounded like the bench of our beerleague softball team, but it seems this really is more common then one would think.
Here, we see a photo of the sacred “Cup Check” ritual.
Doping in baseball isn’t the same as doping in cycling. Doping in baseball does not make you win or make you good or even better. It has zero to do with increasing skill or talent. for as long as steroids have been an issue you would think people would understand this by now.
Isn’t that pretty much par with every video game job? Most people get hired to finish a title and then get let go and have to scramble to find another job. It’s a very hard business for those that are experts at it. Schilling never had a chance.
He’s not hovering, Clark.
If I learned anything from Baseketball it is that you never give away anything that can be used as a projectile. Period. This is the fault of the team, not the fans. same thing happens when they combined college night and dollar dog night at CBP........ Weiners, Weiners everywhere. And all I could think was,........…
Shouldn’t he be out for running outside the base path? This occurs before the throw. So he should be out before he became an obstruction. I don’t see how this is an obstruction rule issue. It’s a base path issue.
no you can’t. the correct positioning of the fielder puts them out of the basepath, this is why you physically had to go after them in order to break up the play. the only way sliding in the path directly into the bag is if the fielder makes a mistake. This is how Tejada got hurt last year. he put himself in the wrong…
The old rules didn’t have big brother watching in NY. This happened all the time. This isn’t just a result of one new rule, it’s two. the replay challenge and the slide rule. without the replay, the call would have stood on the field as it has in the past.
Double plays are supposed to be special, not common. Breaking up the play is part of smart base running. Removing the takeout slide is going to make double plays a common play which is going to make the game more boring. Has the same effect as removing the ability to steal or to lead.
Utley’s slide last year was not illegal it was completely normal and had been done many times over the last 100 years. this rule is dumb. Both instances where it has been used in the last two days were wrong. If you know baseball and if you played baseball, you know that Tejada’s leg was broke because he made a…
Wait, so you’re telling me people actually still play Nintendo games? WOW
