Some folks on here might be thinking of the laser pointers used in meeting and whatnot.

Back when I was a teenager (late 70’s) I went from bicycles to mini bikes to a 125cc dirtbike to a 400cc Suzuki road bike. I couldn’t imagine going right into a motorcycle without picking up some slow speed handling from riding a bike.

Those frames are made of flexible chrome-moly steel and have slip joints that are designed to let the chassis flex several inches in the middle-it helps plant the rear tires. Larry's chassis reached the end of it's fatigue life rather violently.

My wife had one of those on her Outback......now, I'm not saying my wife is a shitty driver, but she had quite a few "hard braking" events, so we took it off and mailed it back to Allstate.

These are kinda pricey, but I swear, you'll forget they are in your ear after about 5 minutes. Downside- they aren't the best for music, but they are awesome for podcasts.

Funny you said that, my next door neighbor is a captain for American and he says the same thing....he actually enjoys landing in cross winds.

Buddy of mine had one of these in 1978....the only difference was that he sawed the roof off his car making it a permanent roadster.

I've never driven or owned an exotic vehicle (closest thing would be my buddies 70 LS6 454 Chevelle with 4:11 rear gears-it didn't go all that fast but it was brutally quick)....I think your evaluation was probably 99% correct for anyone that owns a Ferrari, Lambo....etc.

When I was 16 years old (in 1976) I bought a 68 Beetle. It had bias ply recap tires and I'd have to say equipped the way it was.....it was the lift-off oversteer champion. I only ever went off the road backwards once...that was enough.

When we bought my wife's 2008 Outback, went went to the dealership at 4 PM on New Year Eve. We knew what car we wanted, took it for a test drive and made the guy an offer.
