My theory is the mechs have a totally different species inside them, which is controlling the skitters- or maybe there's still another race up on the ships controlling the skitters AND mechs.

GoT's CG and fights scenes are terrible? Compared to True Blood's? I'll put the Wall and dragons up against faerie light grenades, and Eddard Stark vs Jaime Lannister against Bill vs Sophie Ann, any day of the week.

Agreed. Neutopia had a couple of good moments and wasn't as bad as Attack of the Killer App, but definitely among the weaker episodes. Benderama was great. Not top ten material, but a very solid episode.

Yeah, I donated $100 already, and I'd like to put in more, but I really don't think I can afford it right now.

I don't know if it's still carrying his name, but I think he's supposed to be a lot less involved in that than in Falling Skies- seems like Terra Nova is Brannon Braga's show, which doesn't bode well.

Yeah, I think that belongs on the list more than the Roswell bit, which honestly just sounds like nitpicking to me. Roswell had a lot of reveals that made things more confusing, but that wasn't really one of them.

My guess was a satellite or meteor breaking up, but you could be right too.

Though, if Jon is Rhaegar's, I don't see why Ned wouldn't have told Cat. Maybe because they hadn't known each other long then, and perhaps he didn't trust her yet...

I don't see why the world would be less green to support the number of people it supports right now. Of course it doesn't support everyone to the standard of living they deserve, but more efficient use of the resources we're already using would take care of that. We don't have to expand any farther, or destroy any

Getting down to the low millions doesn't make a lot of sense, either. We have enough food to feed our current population, if we just made more efficient use of it (more use of grains to feed people rather than meat animals, for instance).

I don't see why there'd be all the secrecy if Jon was Robert's. Robert has lots of bastards, after all. I'm sticking to the Rhaegar and Lyanna theory of Jon's parentage.

Twice.

So is this better or worse than The Fountain? Keep in mind I'm one of the few who loved The Fountain.

All the nominations seem to be for Android apps. I have an iPhone, and was wondering if there's anything better than the built-in iTunes app. I can subscribe to podcasts in iTunes on my PC, but I don't really want to sync my phone every day. Alternatively, I can just download the podcasts on the phone, but then I

Except for the part where it's not nearly as good.

I think that once the baby boomers are old and decrepit and the generation raised on Harry Potter are adults, Potter will eclipse LOTR. In the long run LOTR may well be better remembered, though.

Despite all the ridiculousness with the title and "the cure" and the basic idea of a few hundred apes defeating the entire human race, I'm optimistic.

I dunno, I think it looks pretty good. Not on the level of Avatar or Benjamin Button, but no more than one rung below. I think the chimps are supposed to look creepy.

I think it would be uncanny valley even if this was made with the CG tech of 20 years from now, just from seeing human-level-but-alien intelligence in the eyes of a chimp.

To be fair, season 3 of Roswell (the season that aired on SciFi) was almost as bad as The Event.
