No.

@amygdala: I guess I'm no longer in the target demographic either, despite being only a year older than Thomas Dekker.

Though keep in mind, that's a bit farther out than we are from the core of our galaxy, so IC 2497 would be no brighter to denizen's of Hanny's Voorwerp than the Milky Way appears to us. Not now that the quasar's off, anyway. It wouldn't look like the brilliant Hubble galaxy images, unless the Voorwerpians' eyes were

@Azures: If you go up to the top right of this page, where it shows other posts with the #antimatter tag, you'll find an article about one of the best explanations so far proposed.

@Belabras: But then she might be too busy to work on Game of Thrones...

@DisturbingClown: There's been suggestion from a number of sources that season 2 has already been quietly greenlit and that they're going to move into production as soon as possible to save time and money: IIRC, they've renewed contracts with a lot of the crew and contractors already, presumably for this reason. I've

@John_Hazard: And who wants to bet which one is probably going to be more involved in the day-to-day running of this show? I'll give this a shot, but I'm not optimistic.

@38thsignal: 'Cept those time periods have natives who might be unhappy with the new neighbors.

@Whitson Gordon: The built-in browsers are actually Safari, essentially. The SDK has an API for instantiating it within an app. That's what Perfect Browser and Atomic and all other iOS browser replacements (except the likes of Opera and Skyfire, which render on their own servers) use as well, they just replace the

@Crrash: I posted about it before realizing you already had. Glad more people have seen this little gem!

Not a thriller, but The Man From Earth takes place almost entirely in one room, and is a great intellectual concept piece as well. The entire film is basically a bunch of smart people sitting in a living room discussing one concept, but incredibly, it works. You can stream it on Netflix.

I remember when I first read about this concept in Pale Blue Dot. I'd read about using gravitational lensing in astronomy before, using rare instances of objects occluding other, more distant objects, but Pale Blue Dot was my introduction to the idea of using the sun as a huge gravitational lens, which you could use

@IraeNicole: Well that's assuming she passes in the first place. A non-passing or otherwise non-stealth transwoman dating a woman is going to be less threatening to straight society than the same person looking to date men. The former is just a bit odd; the latter is a dangerous pervert. This is also all assuming the

I changed my password immediately, but there's something weird about your login system. When I initially tried to register here, it said that an account was already registered here with my email address. At first I figured I must have registered previously and forgotten, but the account name associated with my email

@IraeNicole: I don't think lesbian trans women face more discrimination than straight ones. How about tossing cognitive disability in there?

@Toastie: At least TSO has real guitars and (some) real orchestra.

@jenn93: Late December, according to a post from Annalee in one of the previous threads.

@Tina Sena: Yeah, I know what you mean. I only finished my draft four days before the deadline, which didn't leave a lot of time for editing. And of course I didn't have nearly as much time for research as I would have liked on a story that involves this much science. 5,000 words is usually a two-month project for me,
