Big deal. I did it a few years ago in three days. I could have done it in two, but I stopped in Reno for Hot August Nights.

This is quality Jalopnik. Well written. The story draws you into a point that satisfies the average reader with the information provided, but also gives the more interested reader a video to give more details. The article contains no “angle,” no footing for argument, it merely celebrates the story of someone who was

I suspect that they will revise those numbers downwards soon. Yes, car dealers have fewer cars to sell, but they are certainly making way more profits on the ones they do cell. On the other hand you still have the mega dealers (new and used) that are so full of cars that the whole buying process is a sh**-show. I went

Actually allowing this would be analogous to the people years ago who screamed for ala carte cable channels, only to discover that by the time they paid for all the different streaming services they wanted, the price was no different than the old cable bundle.

It’s one of those problems that I think can’t be immediately solved but can be improved for the future, if that makes sense. Like, yes, it’ll be great to have more representation by showing female fans, but we also need a wholesale effort to encourage young girls to grow interested in racing while also changing the

Elizabeth, what will draw in female viewers (future fans) to motorsports that doesn’t come off as sexist? Advertising that shows female fans? (i.e. “representation”) I really don’t know the answer to this. Apparently, neither does “motorsports”...

It seem that this discussion was going that if you need a truck every day get a truck, if you need a truck <2 days a year a trailer may be easier and cheaper.

I was actually really surprised by Formula E, too! And by the age of the viewership, honestly. There was a really huge opportunity there to have reached a different audience, but I've been following the sport since the beginning and I can't recall anything designed to draw in female viewers... and the attempts to get

I'd love that, too! That lower cost of entry allows for more diverse racers to take part, which in turn encourages a more diverse viewer base. It would be fascinating to see how directly that translates.

It would be interesting to see the demographics of NHRA drag racing and Sprint cars. Obviously neither are in the global motorsport category, yet, both are a huge deal in the states.

I did not google the other 49, If people need a truck for frequent hauling and towing great, for others it is a choice. those of us suggesting trailers have made an ok chioce that a small utility trailer is much cheaper and easier than a daily driver truck that is more expensive to own and use. to each his own.

well done. Not saying no one needs a truck. my cousin has had nothing bigger than a hockey bag in the bed of his pick up truck in 5 years and nothing to tow. He is NOT a diy guy. which is fine, he loves his truck.

Ok, I understand that people underestimate the ability of a car to move things in a trailer... But...

I have 2 canoes, love them, I hated every second of ski boat ownership, every second. It was my wife and kids idea. they just assumed that, as an American male I would be perfect at maintaining, launching, driving and repairing a 19 ft competition ski boat with a chevy 350 v8 and that my wrangler would tow it. I hated

From everything I have read the Prius does not have a tow rating, at least in the US. I would be careful about towing with it if you ever get in an accident.

Racism is a big reason why they ever existed in the first place and I expect there are plenty of HOAs out there mistreating POC. It’s not uncommon to find old (unenforceable) racial clauses in the original deeds to them that were enforced well after 1965.”

HOAs are just a cop out for local government to dodge taking responsibility for allowing development and potentially needing to raise taxes to provide services.

I’m the exact opposite. I never towed a damn thing with my last truck that I had for 18 years, but the bed was used all the time.

I’m not sure how I did. I mean - I will, Lowe’s is a far, far better choice than Home Depot on its worst day but I’d still dump both of them in favor of Ace Hardware.

If one lives in that set up what would one need a pick up truck that an occasional trailer rental from u-haul would not accomplish?
