That's one of my favourite things about Gene - how excited Lucille always is to see him, it's the best.

You obviously need to do more yoga, everybody knows your affinity for mushroom tea (and therefore your deep and spiritual connection to Gaia as an indigenous person of Earth) increases exponentially with respect to minutes of yoga performed per day. It's science.
I also played T-ball at school (in Australia), but I was really bad....... In Aus T-ball is a girl's sport and it's what you play until you're old enough to play Softball, which I think happened around 12. Commonwealth FTW.
This is just so incredibly sad, everything I remember reading about him just made him sound like a really lovely guy.
CREAM IN TEA?? Is that actually a thing? I go teabag —> hot water —> steep for ages because I like it strong —> honey (optional, if i feel like a sweet hit) —-> a dash of milk. My favourite snack in the whole world is peanut butter + honey on grainy toast with a cup of strong hot tea with honey.
I'm presuming you have Coeliac, since that is the only gluten issue that would show up on blood tests. Thyroid issues are commonly linked to Coeliac due to the common autoimmune factors between the two diseases. There is also a link here with Type 1 Diabetes, which is also autoimmune. Type 1 Diabetes would cause…
Not disagreeing with you but some more information for those who are interested: Hyperparathyroidism is separate to Thyroid issues. Secondary Hyperparathyroidism is when you get too much Parathyroid hormone due to low calcium, which can be related to Coeliac disease. Tertiary Hyperparathyroidism is when this is a…
1) Spelling and grammar - particularly the correct use of apostrophes. 2) Tourists who are insensitive to other cultures. In particular people who insult the people of the country they are in, while on crowded public transport, and don't realise that most of the people can understand every word they are saying.
Haha me too, when I got my first period I thought I'd somehow managed to poo myself, because it was like a small brown streak. I didn't start to BLEED for 6 - 12 months.
They can call it 'Love is Blind'......... A bit obvious maybe but can it really be called anything else?
These are the only Mad Men promos I need: http://madmenwiththingsdrawnonthem.tumblr.com/
Anaemia itself won't drop your BP but it certainly can make you feel pretty shit. Get her to pull down her bottom eyelid, then pull down yours and compare how pink the rim is, if hers is pale she's most likely anaemic, although it doesn't rule it out if its not, just makes it less likely.
Exactly, thank you!
I have had a really bad epilator experience - I basically ended up removing the top layer of skin on my legs and around my bikini line. It was super painful at the time but I thought that was just how it was meant to feel and then like an hour later I was like OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE. It took weeks to heal and was super…
I get soooooo mad when people drive in front of me like 10 - 20 under the speed limit, then get mad at me when I overtake them! Like I'm the one who's doing it wrong! It's not a personal insult I just prefer to places faster than I can walk there.
THIS! Seriously, it makes it so much more dangerous, partially because it makes me want to run them all down, but mostly because it holds traffic up SO DAMN MUCH
Yeah I read that in one of your replies, still impressed though - you must be one awesome bioethicist!
After reading this thread I just want to thank you for the smart, eloquent and accurate way you've discussed the ethics of organ transplantation. As someone in the medical profession it can be so difficult to try to explain to people the horrible decisions that have to be made in this area, simply because, as you…
When a transplant fails it is usually because the recipients immune system has rejected the organ, which at a tissue level means that the donor organ has been severely attacked by the immune cells of the recipient resulting in irreversible tissue damage. This is why people who receive transplants are put on such…
I feel slightly less weird now too, thank you!
