Truck sales in general are WAY off, federalization costs the same whether its the global platform or an inferior US spec, diesel tech is advanced well beyond what's currently regulated and why the fuck *wouldn't* you bring a more efficient platform in when gas prices are

That's an attractive car. Not even "attractive for an American car", but genuinely attractive. If GM can manage to produce it without excessive beige-ifying they'll have a winner.
