I had been avoiding the jump into the current console wars with a suitably beefy PC and a Wii U to keep my happy. This Black Friday weekend though, I finally pulled the trigger on a PS4 Slim + Uncharted 4 combo + $50 gift card for $250 on Amazon. They had Ocarina of Time 3DS for $16 too so I threw that in there.

After braving the hell that is Wal-Mart on Thursday night, I was able to pick up Happy Home Designer for the 3DS for only $15! I also picked up a great Marvel coloring book for only $7. These are great deals but I had only planned on going with my girlfriend and not actually buying anything...

This was my first year doing any Black Friday shopping. I bought the PS4 Slim - 500GB Uncharted 4 bundle pack on Thanksgiving night from Target. It was a replacement console for my Day 1 model PS4 that was giving me application crashes every time I played Destiny or Battlefield 1.

I managed to pick up a PS4 Pro at Target for the $340 discounted price. It was the last one in store. Looks like they’re pretty much sold out on Amazon, but you can still get the 15% off at Target.

Between Thanksgiving dinner with family in a different town and going back to Seattle, I did real damn good this year.

I wish there was more backstory. They don’t explain a lot which is fine sometimes but annoyed me in this game as there isn’t even enough to theorize on things like the Marvins or certain factions and their motivations.

I couldn’t agree more on not broadcasting your plans.
