Its a big show which means that they can't really up and cancel. I wouldn't take it too far that they might scale back some events however. Ya know, make it a bit more humble, apologize for the issues. Perhaps make some major announcements involving other studios.

Sony is based in Japan. As such a fair portion of its global network team likely live and work there. It makes me wonder if there are still rolling blackouts due to the related power crisis.
