It's possible. I won't say that it isn't.

I always ask if a dude is Republican and/or pro-choice on the first date. Basic litmus testing.

When I read the title, I honestly thought you were going to explain his waist to shoulder ratio.

Hearted.

Stephen Lynch reference :-)

When I talked with my university about this, and how they justified calling us a "diverse" community, they said, basically, that since faculty are mostly male it balances it out. When I asked them how that even counted - faculty male, support staff female - they just kinda shrugged and started talking about "thought

I agree that we can't dismiss the evidence, but I do think that blaming cars for obesity is overly simplistic and it also ignores a lot of institutionalized problems that we, as a society have. Which is why I say correlation is totally a yes. But... you can't just say "exercise more" and expect it to solve the obesity

No car means walking/biking everywhere, sure. But let's not forget: some people who are overweight are healthy and do exercise, so having a car or not having a car wouldn't make a difference.

Isn't he being investigated, not because he had an affair, but because he had an affair with the wife of one of his aide's and then paid the couple lots of money as both severance and hush money? From what I've read, it wasn't Ensign who made the hush/severance payment, but his parents. Are there any law Jezzies out

Wow, that was pretty awesome Annalee - I'd really love to see more flash fiction like that on io9!

Yup, loved it.

Let's not forget Bertha - Rochester's first wife, the woman in the attic.

My friends keep playing it at parties for other friends who haven't seen it, so I've heard it SO MANY TIMES now. The next person who tries to play this song is getting a knuckle sandwich.

I just watched the first movie and was amazed at the amount of ust between the two leads. It's like all they do is pose and posture and preen, and then go overhaul an engine and get all dirty so that they can pose and posture and preen covered in motor oil. Not that I'm, you know, complaining or anything.

Not quite sure how far Space X has come, but I'd say there's a good chance that space travel is going to go private, at least here in the U.S.: [www.spacex.com]

Was the 6pm timeslot unusually early for Who's Easter special, or normal?

I could be wrong, I was operating unfamiliar equipment...

The BBC version was 60 minutes without commercials. American TV cut the show to fit in commercials.

... Doesn't the BBC have a show called Merlin? Why does the U.S. have to redo something that is currently airing... and doing quite well, might I add. It's like Merlin, just from Arthur's p.o.v. And with more hair. Ugh.
