I'm a frame-rate Nazi, and The Last of Us is one of my all-time favourite games. The gameplay feels incredibly tense, exciting and dare I say original. It borrows from older mechanics, but it could really be called 'stealth/blunder/action'. The whole combat system is built around fucking up and improvising on the

Such nostalgia! I remember I used to play the demo for this game all the time. I believe it had a behind-the-scenes documentary that was really interesting. Quarashi, ftw! Whoever the fuck you were!

I'm far more interested in their Game of Thrones one!

That would actually be a really interesting short VR experience!

Might make an amusing iOS game lol

I'm interested provided the gameplay feels as fresh as the new aesthetic.

I wasn't excited about this game until I started learning a little about the universe and premise. I can see much of the fun coming from roleplaying, like in The Elder Scrolls. I wanna be a Warlock, a tough scholar who explores deserted lands in search of answers. That sounds COOL. The gameplay doesn't need to be

That was good! Predictable ending though!

Every game should have this feature.

I did think about this difficulty, but perhaps the actor they're recasting only performed in test scenes or one or two actual scenes? They surely wouldn't put themselves through such difficulties otherwise.

Not true. The new actor simply needs to record his lines and perhaps do some mocap work too. They're probably at pre-Alpha/Alpha stage, I would imagine.

'Evolution, Morpheus. Evolution. Like the dinosaur. Look out that window. You had your time. The future is our world, Morpheus. The future is our time'

Is it just me or is this fanboy 'situation' getting more out of hand? I've read heaps of articles about journalists getting annoyed with angry internet commenters over the last year or two. Adam Sessler had a big thing on Rev3's YouTube channel too where he directly confronted fanboyism.

Looks good! Guessing this trailer is running on last-gen tech though? Dem textures!

The context of that question confuses me, so I'm going to give you two answers.

Ted Price is (was?) the creative director of Insomniac Games, who developed Resistance.

Nathan Hale is the main character of Resistance 1 & 2.

No, certainly not. The gameplay was particularly fun in 2 and 3, though 1 was really rough for a AAA title in general. And though, Hale absolutely never developed into an interesting or real character in any way. Walter White - that's a good character. Hamlet. Tyrion Lannister. Nathan Hale? He's a nobody.

Also, I never

Most overrated shooter ever. It was very mediocre. I laughed my ass off at the behind-the-scenes video where Ted Price said they designed Nathan Hale because they wanted a character that people could really sympathize for and care about. He HAS no character! He's a blank slate! He's a generic, buzz-cut, white male

I literary chose not to buy this game as soon as they announced it was subscription-based. I was all for it before that. I'm sure many other potential players are in the same boat. I'm sure they'll change it after a year or so? They have a dedicated enough fanbase that they'll make their money as it is, but it still

This has to be trolling, right? Why don't you like Sessler? Give me an actual, legitimate argument?

The Internet isn't to blame, that's only human. The majority of people aren't smart enough to realise that. We're the minority.
