When I saw the thumbnail for this article, I just thought: "Voldemort."
Apparently I understand nothing about comic books then. I loved Ozymandias #1, I thought the narration sounded very much in character, and I loved the art too. The whole issue made me look at Ozy in a whole new way, and it's been my favourite so far.
The shadow and the wildfire were absolutely fantastic examples of CG, particularly the latter. That was possibly one of the most important moments in the history of CG on TV. Wonderfully executed.
The CG isn't as lifelike, and it's too similar to the original.
Does anybody else think there's this really perplexing sexual tension in that conversation between Vickers and her father??? Even the theatrical version has it.
It's set in the future, and it's highly technological. All I can think of is budget concerns. Not a chance. It'd be even more expensive to produce than Nolan's trilogy was.
The replication was coming. Mankind's biggest tragedy was about to commence, and all as a direct result of its own curiosity. For years, decades, centuries, countless eons of time, life had thrived and spread itself across the globe, evolving from such humble beginnings into total self-awareness. A species in awe of…
In principle, I think racist books should be allowed, for the sake of freedom of speech. Books are often gateways into the minds of people with different outlooks on the world, and it's always interesting to try to understand their point of view, or at least consider it out of intellectual curiosity. I imagine that's…
I like the last question. Are there any novels out there in which malevolent wizards rule the world? I don't read a whole lot of fantasy.
It's like animate plant-life! :O
I think the violence is necessary to keep a feeling of tension in Westeros. As for the sexual scenes, no, a lot of them aren't really necessary, but who cares?! We live in a society that's more open about sex. Naturally our media is going to depict it more freely. And as for gratuitous violence and sex - such as the…
My phone was stolen the other day, and I feel lonelier without it, because when I'm out and about, I can't check on Facebook or anything, it's like I've been cut apart from my social network. Actually, that's literally the case!
Imagine if there's a solar system out there that contains life and is in contact with other nearby life, and there's a whole society, and they have no idea that somewhere reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally far from them is a little blue planet, all alone, wondering what the fuck is going on, that was kickstarted by life…
No mention of Frank Miller's most recent contributions to the Bat-crazy?! XD
The title of this article sounds like the opening line to an epic Saturday morning cartoon.
I agree with him. With a few exceptions. I feel like Japanese gaming culture is stuck in the American 80s.
Troll Hunter, Skyrim, Thale...the Scandinavians are taking over pop culture!!! And I don't mind at all! :)
Why ice? Maybe if Mr Freeze was the villain! Or even Hush, with all the fractured editing...
...And the 2012 conspiracy theorists rejoice once more! (And the Assassin's Creed fans.)
