Wasn't San Andreas 6 square miles?!!!
Wasn't San Andreas 6 square miles?!!!
@MichaelPalin: Perhaps the whole neotribalism philosophy will hit the mainstream one day ;)
@Hey_Blinkon: Well, Bioshock actually focuses more on the Philosophy side of things, being inspired by an Ayn Rand novel (Ayn Rand = AR, AR = Andrew Ryan. He has her philosophy).
@Ghetto Cornetto: I came onto this article just to make that point, and I see that my work is already done!
@Hi-Im-Asylum: Those two paragraphs were like poems written by emos! Relax - we're hardly going to go down that road without questioning every single devlopment. Such as this first one!
I'm not afraid to call myself a Twilight fan, because I read the books first, but it's awful to see all this girly takeover based purely on the the actors, and the damage it's doing to the series.
As much as I love this, it shouldn't have been posted on Kotaku; that's a LOOSE link to The Sims.
I can't decide between Heavy Rain and Hello Kitty: Birthday Adventures. Too much choice this year!
What designers need to keep in mind is that cover art can't just be a message - it has to actually look good too! (#1 - wtf?!)
Haha, my best friend moved to Dubai about 8 years ago, and I'm laughing knowing it'll be hard for him to play this xD
@TrjnRabbit: Touche!
I learn about the world we live in by observing the bullet-proof glass in front of Obama during his speeches. And by the dumbed-down reports on gaming in mainstream news; if they're dumbing down information about our industry, surely they're doing it to every other area of news coverage?
I liked the 1-up one, it was simple but clever. Most of these are really poor tbh, just people photoshopping random characters on to the hearts. 10 was interesting though, to be fair ;)
They can both work and unwork - if there was no Dante's demo, then I would have probably bought it. There was, however, and I'm in a better financial position now.
Buy it for the multiplayer??!! The multiplayer demo was awful, and really glitchy. The gameplay mechanics just didn't feel tuned enough!
@lolgreg: xD!!!
Hey, you shouldn't be too hard on Heavy Rain, at least the European cover was done right, and didn't follow the formula at all. And I think it's stupid to consider "logo" a part of that formula, without a logo, how would people know what the game was? Or what it was called?
I'm hoping this isn't ACIII - that should be set in a time when guns were pretty much first starting to get popular with militaries, but weren't really in full use. Oh, and with Desmond sections.
It sounds interesting, but it DOES sound like Ubisoft saying "oh crap, our series is getting worse, we'd better return to it's high point". Still, with the movie coming out, I'm sure it'll sell well.
