Which is nonsense because the same articles go on to talk about how her films have great multipliers and end up playing well over multiple weeks. Headlines just love the doom and gloom.

Here you go. May you wear this badge of honor proudly.

I find Ron Swanson knows the answer for this. Applies to ex’s of all forms and genders, in my experience:

Agreed. But I also think it’s one of those weird myths that’s much bigger in the pop culture consciousness then it is in the actual art world. Pretty much most academic writing on him I’ve encountered has talked at length about how much of a hindrance and detriment his illness was to his work.

Man, I actually miss the ramshackle memes and religions of TPP.

Honestly, if they added actual trading and battling, I don’t know what I’d ever need another video game.

I read the entirety of Uzumaki in a day one summer while working a job in my college’s computer lab. I don’t think I have ever felt as weird as I did after finishing it.

I used it some and dug it mostly for it helping me branch out in terms of what I felt comfortable cooking*, but I also use it very infrequently. However, I did once forget to skip a week and when that $60 goes through, you feel like a fucking idiot.

Man, I loved Snow Leopard.

Oh, I was just making a joke because I thought your breakdown of the two different characters from two different mediums did a good job explaining it, too (generally speaking, of course).

Ugh, why can’t they ever seem to make a good film adaptation of a video game??

I actually quite like that Superman. Shades of Mr. Incredible.

Half-Life 3: Blue Shift

This film should have basically been their version of Fellowship’s opening about the War of the Last Alliance that laid the groundwork before giving way to a more focused story like Arthas.

Even LotR looked like it was more fun. Another thing about LotR, that I think a lot of these films fail to notice, is that the viewer essentially starts by following an outsider to “the world,” so the initial world-building and accompanying info dump is done through Frodo’s eyes. Fellowship is a structural masterpiece

The word of mouth out of premiers is always super positive. See the last Fantastic Four or Batman v Superman or

I’ve never seen Super, but the highlights on Goku and Vegeta’s skin makes me think they have oiled up before the fight.

It’s the LOST method of time travel of all of time occurring at once so what happens happened.

The same team used Swans for the back half of their Macbeth trailer, and it was way more effective.

Well, whoever did this particular set of bitching only mentioned the time spent way after the fact, so it probably wasn’t you. But loot whoring is real and it is an epidemic. Praying for you.
