Too subtle.

Yup. I saw the film before ever reading the book, and it was super apparent from the first scene that he was the villain.

Finding out Snyder is a fan of Ayn Rand actually makes me understand the changes to the subtext Snyder made and even makes the ending make more sense to me (also interesting that it removes the Atlas Shrug spoof of the original). Not that I like it, but it feels like the Snyder Rosetta Stone.

Ah that explains a lot then. Because the video itself (other than the ending) definitely seems in jest.

The “No more oreos!” line is the giveaway that it’s meant to be a spoof.

Looks like he’s touched an Infinity Stone or something.

lol

Well, ex-Pres went in there so they could communicate through him, and I guess, figure out why they were celebrating/what was happening. Though it’s interesting they haven’t developed any other way to communicate with them other than angry monologuing in between the two films.

You would think some of that Facebook money would go to a PR firm.

Huh. I’m not sure why I looked that up, but it was... Hm.

I mean, the “effects” look like a tweaking of opacity and then masking some other bullshit over it. Look at that second photo: the light sources are clearly coming from opposite ends. This is almost stupendous in the tiny amount of work it must take.

That’s the best part! This is like a ten minute, tops, photoshop job. I read this and think, “Wait, I could be making how much on what kind of schedule?!”

Uh, is that one of the Mii on her knees six up from the bottom what I think it is?

Why doesn’t Superman just save his mom?

It’s probably the Junkie XL / Fury Road synergy you’re feeling.

These reunion shows are the first ones to kinda bum me out, though, since the tickets largely went to people who were already going to Panorama and media types.

Man, I was blown away at how quick that shit sold out. I nearly paid a shit ton to go to the show, and while I’m sure it was a good time, I’m glad now that I saved that money.

Huh. I guess it’s a case of never knowing how the execution is, but that Braniac-behind-it-all-but-still-leading-to-Darkseid take seems like it could have worked. Wonder why they nixed it if they were going to leave the major bits still in play.

Have you met this Ma and Pa Kent? They probably didn’t!

Exactly. Snyder doesn’t get or doesn’t really care for Superman, and he’s clearly just aching so badly for an evil Superman. Here we go, I guess.
