The Wii version was always capable of widescreen/480p. The Gamecube version had 480p but was 4:3.

Yeah, I thought the opposite. There’s a lot of juxtaposition of scales shots (person vs ship, person vs planet expanse) that were a huge part of the OT’s visual language.
