I dunno, but the doubling down on it is disconcerting:

I imagine the people fronting the money for this film very much care.

Oh, wow. He was responsible for fitting Kanto in? I had no idea. That’s impressive.

I vividly remember realizing what “death” would be like when I was about six. It’s haunted me ever since.

Looks like shit to play, but that Pyramid Head/Hellraiser Batman is a pretty damn killer image.

Yeah, what strikes me is that they’re saying it wasn’t just the PC that had problems, but rather, that development was surprisingly difficult overall which resulted in the PC release getting the shaft. That’s pretty surprising, and I wish they had elaborated on what made the consoles so hard to code for.

I’m an architect, and we once got a set of drawings for an existing building that we were doing a remodel/addition on. All the text on the set was in comic sans. I nearly started bleeding out of my nose.

The idea that you have to “make it” relate to slavery honestly baffles me. I grew up in the South, am something of a novice history nerd, and that aspect of it is not only intrinsic to its creation but intrinsic to it now.

Ah, man, for real? I have a 770 that’s been able to blow through pretty much everything I’ve played on (though I only play at 1080 usually). Seems weird you can’t do it through a .ini.

Now playing

Exactly. I think, whether explicit or not, people look at renders as closer to photographs and trust them more (whether or not one should trust architectural photography is a whole other conversation*), and as a result, become either very attached or very critical of different elements of the design both in terms of

I do a lot of the renders for my firm, so this post is pretty much made for me. I imagine when computers get a bit beefier overall, you’ll find architects presenting these kind of walkthroughs more and more. Though, I’ll be curious to see how clients react to them. While it shows something different than an image,

That actually makes a lot of sense. I once remember looking at a clear plastic shell chair in one of their images, and the reflections on it were way crazier than I had ever seen it in real life. I figured it must have been CG but never checked. I imagine someone rendered it as a curved glass rather than plastic to

This seems to me like the obvious change.

It’s weird that this one is a reboot/remix/whatever of the N64 game because didn’t the 64 game have the same relationship with the SNES one? Consistent, I guess.

“All your favorite franchises are getting releases!

Best reaction from our very own:

The cliffhangers were on some real Days of Our Lives shit with this finale.

I love that shit. I’ve encountered people who claim that by making the rapes less nightmarish on the show, they have actually “ruined” GRRM’s nuance and subtext. It’s astounding.

I really do think that, in hindsight, a lot of the “Holy shit!” moments in A Storm of Swords were so effective because GRRM was blowing up the plot. At the time, you had faith that he knew what he was doing, but everything since makes it seem quite the opposite.

For me, Ramsey disproves any notion of “This is just like real life, man” nonsense. That dude has all the plot armor of Aragorn only he fucking sucks and is a repetitive character.
