My big brother had one of these for his first car. Like an idiot, he wrecked it. Like a clown, he wrecked it with five of his friends also packed into the car. Rolled it six times down a hill, totalling it. Not one of them were hurt because they were so tightly packed that they didn’t get knocked around much.
You have to watch it.
This is obviously a way for CA to intercept money from those who try to use the blackmarket “smog hookup”, putting money that would otherwise go to black market smog techs into the state’s coffers. I have no problem with this, and would encourage this measure, as there would be other benefits brought into play by this…
The only kind of tech I want in my car is the kind that will never go obsolete...which usually means only the bare minimum to make the car run reliably forever (like an ECU). All the doodads and infotainment crap—leave it out.
Beat me to it. All hail the new (assumed to be) pure rocket powered fighters!
The fact that the offending bike rider, Josh Navarro, has been identified and is facing charges makes me very happy. If someone did that to my car, I’d be murderous.
I would love to enter a full sized Winnebago motorhome, pulling a trailer with a small car on it. The small car would LOOK like it would be the entry, but it would actually be the pit crew’s emergency car/errand runner. I love the idea of the Winnebago coming into the pits, only to have the entire pitcrew run INTO it…
I likely has little circular brush skirt just outside the ball bearings which support the head as it rolls along the surface of the body (held in place by magnets).
This is how I think it’s done. I have a much simpler design in mind, too, which will likely be used by toymakers...but gives up the ability for the head to “crawl” about the surface of the sphere. This design, though, seems to address all the capabilities the droid has exhibited so far including: head turning, head…
I support this nomination because of the “COME AT ME BRO” factor.
They need to have some sort of “delete” option, which would allow for the removal of the infotainment system
