The Xbox controller is being hyped. Even by people who want nothing to do with MS. I've even seen people go as far as saying that they hope someone releases an adapter for the PS4 so that they can use the One controller with it.

True but I don't think the launch market debacle is going to impact anyone outside of those respective markets. I wouldn't want to matched up with anyone half a world away anyways. The US is Microsoft's biggest market I believe.

Cross-platform play is largely unfair. Mouse and KB will win every time against someone with a controller where there is aiming involved. I'm glad MS and Nintendo don't allow that.

Funny you should say that, I've been seeing them make a real effort as far as acquiring new IPs. Other than that, I agree. Though XBox had more IPs than that.

The two consoles are not evenly matched in terms of features, software or online services. I have to agree about the hardware though.
