Well yeah it's gone now. The standard edition is sold out so why would Amazon redirect people from the standard to the day one? Go to Xbox wire and there it says something like "Wow thanks for the support we sold out day one edition xbox consoles in 24 hours" or something like that. That was before Amazon allocated…

Quite the opposite. The Day One edition sold out so fast(so did the standard) that Amazon parleyed with Microsoft and allocated more units. It said so on the standard XBox One's page, in those little information boxes.

I'm actually happy that they let us use rechargeable batteries. My nephews Ps3 controllers no longer hold a charge as will all things that are rechargeable, they don't last for ever.
