Looks as good as this did.

Honest to God, I don’t understand this. What’s the point of “not contributing” to its opening weekend box office? Seriously?

Respectfully, no one else in Hollywood could have played this part. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. It plays to his smartass personality and sense of humor. OTH, if literally anyone else had played Green Lantern, it would have been a success.

I’m sure this has been discussed already but, why do I have to search for Morning Spoilers now? Why isn’t it on the front page of Gizmodo?

It’s because they’re heretical Marvel Fanboys or closeted DC wuss bags that can’t stand up for what they love.

Holy shit, is Chris Pratt black?!? No. He’s not. Unless they’ve cast Eddie Murphy from 30 years ago or Will Smith from 20 years ago to play T’Challa, this movie will fail (by Marvel standards).

By Marvel standards, it’ll be a dud.

Again, you’re overestimating how many people read comics. Not just read them, but obsess over them. All those movies you mentioned? White lead actors.

Respectfully, you’re wrong. To us, yes, he’s a respected character, yada, yada, yada. We’re in the minority. No one outside our community knows more than a dozen (at best) superheroes on sight. Black Panther means less than nothing to 90% of the world. Yes, I’m including Africa in that equation. They’ve got more

Funny, you more or less described me except I live in a very red area of a blue state. Again, I’m not talking about US. We’re nerds, we love this shit.

This ain’t Tyler Perry or about an iconic rap group. This is a b list superhero who’s black. Yes, that means something to us, but we’re nerds.

White (and latino?) movie goers (some? most? I dunno) just won’t go see it. Just a feeling. A cynical, watch the news everyday feeling.

I guarantee you if they make Sam Wilson Captain America in a movie, this country will lose its mind.

If that’s the case, I’d bet this will be the first Marvel flop. Maybe I’m just being cynical, but I can’t believe the average (white) movie goer will bother seeing it. I hope I’m wrong.

Wes, if there are any kind of bear in my neck of the woods, that’d be big news. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, but the closest black bears to where I am is in southern Missouri. I wouldn’t rule out really big black house cats.

I live in Jersey County, Illinois and people have claimed to see Mountain Lions around here for years. There’s a State Park here, Pere Marquette, on the Illinois River - big hills and thick woods, like much of the countryside in the western part of the county. Biggest predators I’ve personally seen are bobcats,

YEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and you both, brother. The first time I saw the Falcon in the trailer a few months ago, I lost it. I’m a sap, I know, and easily taken in by nostalgia, but this reminded me of what it felt like to be 4 and a half years old watching that opening crawl for the first time.

I attended public schools in my rural Illinois hometown from K thru 12. I believe I had excellent history and geography teachers throughout my education, but those were also my favorite subjects. Many of my classmates weren’t so enamored of these studies. I really think your education is what you make of it.

I love me some Heinlein, but ST is not his best work - at all. It’s a fascist’s dream.
