The short answer is, “Because SAO is wildly popular, that’s why.”

MUST. HAVE. THIS. GAME!

We’re talking about Blue Snow right?

I kind of want to see what is taking all the panties and why

My main gripes were that the difficulty was too, easy, I think I didn’t die once in front of a boss...

I totally agree. but if you want somebody who’s never played a Zelda game before get into the franchise you don’t show them this......................

Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess are the ones you should check out, you can get all four of them on the Gamecube, and Wii U. and you can get the remastered versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask on the 3DS.

The rumor is that the old Gamecube minidisc could only hold so much data and they couldn’t fit anymore on it. I think the other explanation is more reasonable, that their timeline to release the game was set in stone and they didn’t have time. The Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma admits that there were other dungeons, but

That was ultimately my biggest problem with Windwaker. After a game that felt like a grand adventure like Ocarina of time when windwaker finally starts to kick it up into gear by giving you the master sword and making you feel like a hero suddenly you’re almost done with the game. It left me feeling like my adventure

I always loved Wind Waker, but I think ajdragoon hit it on the head about why that game is remembered more fondly now than how it was initially received. That’s a special case.

I’m always surprised by how dictated people can be by graphics and art direction alone. They say a lot, but coupled with a kind of story, they can also say very different things.

I think its deeper than that and people often don’t include the whole story as to why each Zelda sort of ages differently. Wind Waker was shown after everyone was buzzed about seeing the screens and brief video of a high Res (at the time) looking Link fighting Ganon.

I loved Windwaker when it came out (not a contrarian hipster BTW). I got sucked in the moment Link’s sister was kidnapped and I had major feels when I said goodbye to Grandma. All of the characters are amazing and well fleshed out. Getting the Master Sword was the most satisfying Master Sword of all the Zelda games.

I’ve liked Wind Waker from the beginning, but I’m a big fan of cell shading and I really liked the switchup to the sailing mechanic. Twilight Princess, however, bored me to tears. It seemed like I was traveling too far for too few things to do once I got there.

I was like 14 when Twilight Princess came out, I remember having dreams about it since it was announced, I was so excited, and then I played it and it didn’t click for me either, the world was too weird, it didn’t feel like Zelda. You're not alone.

I think there was a standing ovation at their E3 2013 conference when they announced there would be no always-online requirement and the PS4 was $100 lower than the XBox One within about 45 seconds of each other.

I was so hyped for this game. It didn’t live up to it...

When’s the last time you saw a standing ovation at a press conference?!
