It seems like there are people from both camps. Some people wanted a literal female incarnation of Link and some wanted a separate character. To me it looks like they kind of tried to meet half way on it.

I mean it’s still around but at least it’s not as bad as when I was a kid. Nowhere near as bad. Geeks these days have it good, trust me. Geek is seen as a positive thing to say about yourself now. It’s endearing it’s like oh, he’s such a nerd/dork/geek etc. You don’t call someone an otaku in Japan affectionately.…
Nah, it’s not a matter of popularity, it’s a matter of publisher.
Isn’t Link just a cipher character? So wouldn’t Linkle be the same thing, just a girl version.
I think games becoming more popular and common have affected things.
There just needs to be an age limiter on Steam that is set by parents, that coincides with the rating of the game. If I put in that I’m an adult, and I’m the only person on the account, then I should be able to buy/play full-on XXX games or whatever is the worst of the worst. If a kid logs into an account, they should…
I really support these kind of actions. Censorship has already gone way to far in the last year... Also the R Mika comment is really funny giving the latest Laura Costumes...
We could use another marketplace, something specifically for bringing over visual novels and the like and wouldn’t need to meet Steam’s standards. I’m not interested in buying these games myself, but if this happened to the media I love where I had little to no choice in buying it edited or otherwise censored, I know…
Man, she’s so cool. I wish the game ran better—they pushed the limits of the New 3DS with this one.
As is tradition.
Normally I’d boo right along with you, but this time the video is worth watching.
All hail our Canadian overlords!
There are a number of people on this thread who can’t read analog clocks or know someone who can’t do it either. They are not cognitively delayed. Their brains just don’t understand it for whatever reason. They can still tell time and understand what it means.
Since the article mentioned that the foster parents were also raising the deadbeat dad’s son, who he also gave up, I think they know who the baby’s father is and know it’s not Sara’s father. It sounds like this dad has gone around impregnating and then abandoning kids willy nilly. In terms of the investigation when…
Fwiw, my IQ is a few points shy of qualifying for MENSA and I can’t read an analog clock, either. It’s just one of those things. Gods know I’ve tried, but they stress me out for some fkn reason. I’m sure everyone has a “thing.”
My smart (undiagnosed) dyslexic 15 year old stepson cannot for the life of him figure out analog clocks. His mom has worked with him, and ever since I got together with his dad (9 years ago), I’ve worked with him.
I agree with your first and third sentences, but the idea that someone with an IQ of 70 can’t truly consent to sex is pretty ridiculous. We know nothing about the IQ or abilities of the man who impregnated her. I understand the importance of ensuring that vulnerable people aren't taken advantage of, but I don't see…
The longer article makes it clear that she can, in fact, read well enough both to fill out forms and to pass the English portion of her high school graduation exam (she just doesn’t like to read), and that she can tell time just fine using a digital clock. Judging her as incompetent to parent because she doesn’t enjoy…
She can read while enough to pass an English state exam but she can’t read an analog clock. To be honest, I know a number of kids who don’t have disabilities who can’t read analog clocks.
