I agree, but I think a lot of the resentment comes from the fact that they’re riving a dead franchise with a game that doesn’t really seem to fit in with that franchise from a gameplay prospective, which makes it seem like it’s just cashing in on the name rather than actually trying to add to the world. I think that

SPOILERS!.

That’s a shame, I always felt they were heavily serviced by design and plot. Gameplay could be plodding at times, but the world was still interesting because everything oozed that madcap twisted-fantasy vibe.

While I can see how people are disappointed, I do think in a way it’s really cool after reading the last tweet from Pratchett. It’d be neat if more franchises gave us different types of games in the same world that we like (another example of this is Hyrule Warriors). As Pratchett said, this doesn’t stop them from

Join me, and together we can rule the dancefloor as Father and Son

Why would they ban a perfectly legitimate apparel brand

This game is programmed in Britain yet there’s no ban on anything starting with ‘arse’? I can’t tell if that’s short-sighted, they have faith in the British not to use them, or they’ve deliberately left them out so the ‘home team’ we can still use them.

You cant say Xbox or Playstation, just tell people you are playing on the Vectrex!

“it takes a village to raise a child”

somehow i think we in the west have mistakenly evolved to believe that raising a child is between his/her mother and father. the values of respecting your elders (and hell, even your teachers) came from this idea that children belong to a community and not [solely] to their

That was a proud slogan at the store I ran “crushing hopes and dreams”. We took special delight in shooting down kids trying to buy M rated games when they damn well knew they couldn’t buy it without their parents permission since getting caught selling M to a minor would result in immediate termination.

Oh and one more -

I work in the electronics department at Toys R Us. One day, I had a random kid start chatting me up, being suspiciously friendly and telling me how cool I am and how awesome my job is, and then he says he’s going to get his grandma and come back.

OH MAN, video game retail stories? I’ve got a bunch of those.

I can unfortunately relate to the “daycare” issue. When I was in college I worked part-time at an ice rink doing various things (skate guard, running the zam, pro shop, etc.) and every so often we’d end up with kids out on the ice during a session and their parents were nowhere to be found. More often than not it

I have never smoked marijuana. I state this as someone who has a brother who benefited from it's use (as someone with Asperger's) and has read much on the subject of marijuana use as an real life medication due to my educational background in psychology and the word I do with special needs students.

That's a terrible therapist, holy shit :(

Has anybody made the 1st World Problems Meme version of that pull quote yet?

Marijuana would be an appropriate medication for someone with Asperger's. That's probably why it works.

Great read...I do feel for the writer. This article highlights how restrictions need to be lifted off marijuana so more studies can be performed without the threat of the DEA performing a shutdown. I believe marijuana has excellent purposes and results...however; marijuana, in these instances, can also perpetuate an

Now replace "smoking to relax" with "working out to relax" or "taking a hot bath to relax" or "listening to music to relax" or "gardening to relax."
