Today is actually my mom's 62nd birthday. I always knew she was quite profound.

I live in Los Angeles, which even at its best point of observation (Griffith Observatory) has too much light pollution to see hardly anything. People like to talk about how there is a different type of "stargazing" that one does in LA, but that is just sad.
