I really wish they didn’t bury their reporting as part of their response, I was enjoying the hell out of that.

It appears you kind of avoided 90% of my content just to yell at me again. Hope you’re getting what you need out of this.

With respect, they clearly assert that it is offensive. Not *why* it is offensive. Requesting an explanation isn’t always a subtle attempt to undermine and diminish, you know. Its part of a conversation.

I hate that I’ve frustrated you, but I’ve re-read the entirety again and I still don’t see it. Apologies for being slow and stupid, but I assure you its not a covert weapon I’m deploying in a campaign to aggravate those who “get it”.

The part where she was asked and did not consent remains powerful. And I don’t know the racial makeup of the ....uh....makeup team. But I could genuinely see someone in their position being completely surprised this was an issue, given the other things this production was doing regarding race.

...but did they audition for this? ...was someone available with the required skills to do this job and was denied based on the colour of their skin? This production team doesn’t seem to be a bunch of ignorant rich white people making dumb decisions.

What makes you think I said that?

Why are we so certain that someone who had the right look (age adjusted version of another character) and right skin tone was even available? Why are we so inclined to criticize it from this angle? I mean, I ask that because CLEARLY WE ARE - I’m not trying to undermine this angle, I’m trying to comprehend it.

It seemed clear to me the casting was based on looking like an age-shifted version of another person. Does that change the standards here? To my eyes the skin tones are not radically different, but they are different.

I found images through Google of the character and the actor. Yes, it is darker. Does it covey a different racial identity? Welp, it sure doesn’t to me - but this comment thread exists because I have no idea what the hell is going on here.

I don’t understand why this is an objectionable thing. I’d appreciate it very much if someone with patience took the time to explain it. Apologies in advance, I’m sure the existence of this comment will not sit well with people who already understand this better than I do.

He wanted a lot of sex, and I was content with very little. I came to believe he was content too

and convincing myself that I can change the way my body naturally wants to be

So do we have a specific allegation of what he did yet?

Am I the only one who thought Cara Dune was a terrible character, most probably influenced by this bell-end not being a very good actor?

I really don’t think the criticism on theme is on the mark. I’ve noticed there is a deep fanbase for the previous Dune game that is confounded by this game. In terms of theming a eurogame on an IP, I rather felt this game got top marks. But...its still a game that is tune to mechanics, and is not going to compromise

Women that look like her do not go for average guys like him (or me) unless the guy has money or power.

literally canonically queer

I don’t think you understand Canada. The Canadian Tuxedo is not a symbol of class or privilege, as all stratas of social class will use it. Its one of the reasons Canada is awesome

I assumed that was why Din’s armor had a red sleeve.
