Yeah I just didn’t see that. Some people were poor and some were rich but...it really didn’t seem to say much about that one way or another.

Isn’t that just...shitty people being shitty?

It’s a scathing indictment of capitalism and the corrupting power of wealth in general

Radiolab has been at the top of my list of “podcasts I am sure I want to listen to, but find it impossible to listen to”. The reasons are similar, although the #2 on this list for me - NPRs Planet Money - is ranked there for entirely different reasons.

Worth noting that Kobe Bryant had his application rejected. Winning allows you to be considered, but you are not guaranteed acceptance.

Isn’t it super weird to be introduced to someone in a “in memoriam” segment? Like, you didn’t mean anything to me in life, why would you in death? It’s like going to a strangers funeral, in a very small way.

I said “No disrespect to their loved one” specifically to show you I wasn’t.

....who cares.

Its the inclusions of the back-office people that so few are going to even know existed that get me. No disrespect to their loved ones, but comparing who they included to who they excluded is really the heart of this.

People. Come on.

I know. Stick a fork in it, this goose is cooked.

Kristin Wiig looked like a lasagna noodle cooked in beet juice.

Really all of this is just a function of deep pockets and semi-competent script writers. I did not, and still do not, find it all that remarkable?

I think the reason this is not worth discussing is that to modern tastes, if she had come out with all the buttons up to and including that button undone, the resulting look would have been....barely scandalous?

I watch the Oscars because I’m a huge fan of movies.

Her entire Chanel-manicured-paid-placement-on-Spotify persona is “do what my agent tells me”. I’ve seen Will Ferrell sketches what were more authentic than this persona. No idea what is resonating for people here.

I found the material presented in the Oscars clips for Parasite was information I was VERY HAPPY I DID NOT KNOW before watching Parasite.

I do not understand liking Klaus.

...uh...so....what is it that you speak of? That which was “never done” before and “never to be repeated”? Is it just the MCU as a whole? I mean thats *kind* of interesting, but not tremendously remarkable to my way of thinking.
