Is that what we are calling this? 🧐

Eventually, Maul’s brother, Savage Opress

Strange choice of Green Lantern clip. I think he had one line.

So that was *my* point. Which element are we disagreeing on? (one of those two was my employer for >5 and <10 years)

I was just listening to the 99% Invisible podcast episode about the quadriplegic who led society to the ramps you see on curb corners. This reminds me of the part where Jerry Lewis in his telethon said (I paraphrase) ā€œI think God made a mistake, and he put us here to help fix that mistakeā€ and the disabled community…

I just can’t get over how people are blind to how the world is working.

TL;DR is something like:

....as is every publicly traded ā€œvideo game companyā€. When I worked for one of the big ones, we openly acknowledged that it was a hedge fund incidentally associated with entertainment on the inside.

I worry that our modern society is way to infatuated with the self - and frequently the misconceptions of the self we seem to be encouraging and exacerbating - and it is destabilizing much of the things we build our society out of. Trump is just the icing on that cake. I wish more people talked about the value of…

The degree to which we are sexually attracted to someone is much more in the control of the two individuals than people who ask this kind of question are usually comfortable with. Every other time I’ve heard this, I come away with the impression of someone looking for an external force to blame in the breakdown of the…

I have not had a chance to watch the show, but when I heard of this I assumed it made sense in the most obvious and natural way (which this article seems to resist really hard): There are a ton of Americans who back then were like Rosanne of yesteryear, and have turned into the Rosanne of today. I’ve always assumed…

Where is a legal opinion when we need one?

This is false for half the country (BC, AB, Saskatchewan, All Territories) who only inspect if you import a vehicle (inc. within Canada).

I don’t care if it’s expensive at the pump. The V8 is like my favorite part of owning my truck.

What I don’t get is why you’d even care to leave it in. 99% of shrimp applications require a shelling of the critter raw. Indeed I’ve never met a unshelled shrimp preparation I liked - its fucking tedious and of no value to foist that on the eater.

Whatever ā€œlossā€ is associated to grape sampling is worked into the cost of the grapes. (per grape is about 3 cents, assuming 5 grams per grape and $6.60/kg)

How are these so cheap when I’m staring at a quote for $3,200 to install a Navien?

How are these so cheap when I’m staring at a quote for $3,200 to install a Navien?

...ā€most imitated performanceā€......uh....can someone help me with this claim?

So, after consideration, no. No we are not going to bring this back.

No.

You need to think more about how these are hedge funds that make an incidental product, and less like its some happy creative enterprise. That explains most of the risk avoidance. That is also why they are investing in being more like a casino and less like the games we grew up with.
