My wife enjoys the Tiguan greatly - when it works. But out of warranty we’ve had to replace the turbo, the radiator, the rear main seal, and clean carbon out of the intake all of which struck me as not the kind of maintenance appropriate for a 7 year old car.

So how do I get a car this attractive and feature rich without signing up to post in this kind of thread a decade from now?

A different gas intake port location would really have helped out the guy at 0:30.

It makes more sense to put it on the driver’s side, so when you pull up to the pump you get out on the protected side.
