Licensing third-party on content for PS+ Extra/Premium isn’t the same as developing or publishing a game. If you look at Sony’s first-party offerings, there’s a pretty clear trend: most of them are third-person, cinematic, story-driven AAA action games. Spider-Man, Uncharted, Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Days Gone,

It seems pretty intuitive to me. Sony is only interested in making AAA games. PixelOpus doesn’t make AAA games and was therefore shut down.

Regulators aren’t supposed to make assumptions about markets 10 years into the future, especially when there are benefits to consumers now.

No, it’s more like convicting him of piloting a starship without a license.

After beating Control a couple years ago, I was in the mood for more weird Remedy games. One of my brothers had been recommending Quantum Break to me for years, so after a brief stop-off to replay Alan Wake, I hopped right into Quantum Break and really enjoyed it.

But it’s also really not fair to hold one artist accountable for the transgressions of another.

This is the Resident Evil 6 of Final Fantasy games: an attempt to make it the biggest budget AAA game like every other contemporary big budget AAA game but still covering it in the set dressing of what the series is known for.

These games just don’t appeal to me anymore. FF was at its best when it was about a band of weirdos from all walks of life saving the world. First we had XV and the Bland Boys, and now we have yet another angry man on a revenge quest.

I understand how you feel, but you have to remember that every time you make a comment like this, you will summon swarms of people who hate turn-based systems and are personally offended that you would dare express affection for one.

In the DLC maybe. The base game's gameplay was mud. Promto's combat was fun in his story.

if you cant see what other titles this looks like you’re willfully ignorant and trying to make a point with two words and a question mark.

I’d feel a lot more bummed about this game’s trailers still doing nothing for me as a long-time fan of the series (no matter the combat system) if I didn’t love FF7 Remake and have Rebirth coming soon after this. Even still, fans of the genre have been eating well the past few years, so it’s hard to complain.

I loved XII, XIII, and VII Remake, but I’d still really love to see them take a fresh stab at AAA turn-based combat again that reflects new interpretations of that system in the genre in the 20 years since X released (Persona 5, Bravely Default, etc).

I am wholly underwhelmed. It looks like Devil May Cry got a FF skin. I’ll probably still play it and give it a fair shot, but I’m not a fan of the direction the mainline series has been going since FF15.

To be fair, 13 and 15 disappointed so many people that it’s not hard to understand why people would want a turn-based FF again. To them (and me, sorta) it’s the last time the series really shined.

It looks pretty much like every other high budget action RPG these days.

Looks cool, but I really want another mainline FF game to go back to turn-based. But maybe that’s just the nostalgia talking.

Worked out pretty well for Fortnite, Apex, and Warzone.

Damn Yoshi, when did you become such a PS5 shill...

In what I can only compare to grabbing the thumbsticks of your friend’s controller and moving both your characters in tandem with one another, Cereza has you control both characters while exploring the faerie forest. This is where the game has me sitting forward in my chair because its gameplay is basically a wicked
