A commenter posts the SAME COMMENT every time a new iPhone comes out. I'm sure you could have spent that time/space doing something a little more worthy.

But alas! There is more chance of the information reaching them, no? :)
Not every Gizmoder reads every single article. In fact, some pop over every week or so. What may be common knowledge to you is news to others. In addition this has quite a clear title, one that is likely to be shared by Gizmoder's who know friends in the market for a new iPhone.
Whilst I did vote Handbrake, I think I did for the one reason that everyone else has. The majority of us haven't tried all of these applications as Lifehacker recommended Handbrake years ago and we've never needed anything more. Handbrake has a simple UI and a powerful feature set.
Fair enough, however that doesn't affect the validity of my point. I am using the beta and the implementation of new features is very regular. I think it's safe to say that it's still in its baby years as a piece of software.
I'm not sure if this counts but it's something I value very dearly. I collect films. I constantly maintain and keep improving my HTPC everyday that I can. With a collection now of over 1000 films (the digital files), the majority of which are blu-ray derivatives, it's something I'm very proud of.
I'm not debating that it is. Though that said, it is in beta stages, so I think your criticism is incredibly harsh. It's constantly implementing new features based on community response, which is a sure sign that any app has a bright future.
That's what the Fukishima experts said before, look what happened.
What are you talking about? Who exactly are you correcting?

Social networks won't die. They're the future. Facebook is far too popular now to go backwards. They're universal and they're here to stay.
They're the modern form of communication and I believe if you can't adapt to that, you're going to be living in the past.
It's a damn shame that the first time I heard of Sparrow is just weeks after it was declared 'dead' by technology blogs. It looked fantastic and it was right up my street. Unfortunately I'd rather not get settled with a client that has a non-existent future. The best alternative I've found is AirMail. I'm using the…
The killer reason for me is the fact that I can touchtype. I can literally write word for word what the lecturer is saying resulting in much more digestible and understandable notes. Ever have that problem where you couldn't write all of what he was saying in time? I didn't. Even when I was rushing every word I wrote…
Right!
Gawker seems to refresh their design more often than YouTube. (And that's saying something)
Shirley you can't be serious.
Meh, I've seen authors reply to people regarding new layouts before on Gawker.
