In Greenpeace's defense, they are a company designated with solely good will. They're just trying to do the right thing. If they've been 'forgotten' recently, and brushed off much like most of the commenters here are doing... then I am all for letting them have this one.

You think this is ridiculous? I work as a videographer in local nightclubs, and the amount of people that believe that the large LED light is for photography is unbelievable. They're posing for a picture and you are just like... hey. :) I usually give them a nod or a thumbs up so that they don't feel like idiots.

Your initial point has already been made by a prior comment, but I'll let you have the reiteration. As I was corrected previously, these are bloggers, and in my opinion there is nothing wrong with a blogger posting his opinion. In fact, I believe it's the way it should be.

Well to be fair, a bloggers posts are more likely to be more opinionated than a journalists. So you kind of boosted my argument there... Just a tad.

I disagree, if culture develops the meaning of a word, then that is it's definition. Many words have evolved from others, which original meaning had nothing to do with it's current one.

Yeah, for all those looking for a simpler option. If you have the "bitly | a simple URL shortener" for chrome. You simply need to hover the cursor over the link and it will show you the originally shortened link. Much easier then the above process AND you have a [bit.ly] extension!
