Why would you want more inclusion in shitty games? I don't get it.

There are movies like "The Hangover". People seeking a diverse, profound, insightful experience probably don't watch The Hangover, they watch We need to talk about Kevin, or Let The Right One In, or Mother (the Korean film), or if they're into something silly they watch The Heat or Bridesmaids. What they don't do is…
Dark Souls 2 had some dark segments but was also very bright and colorful.
They sell clothes, publish music, write humorous articles, organize fashion shoots, parties.
They actually started out as a Canadian alternative fashion magazine for skaters during the nineties, with a very punk, sarcastic attitude. The magazine was given out for free at clothing stores aimed mainly at the skater…
Vice is overall probably the single most hipsterish corporation in the world.
I don't know if every one of those people are necessarily bigoted gamers. I'm sure a lot of them are, but I think there is also a genuine fear and hesitation among people as to how gaming companies will handle inclusiveness. If it results in us getting more stuff like TLOU: Left Behind, I'm all for it, but I wouldn't…
Oh, trust me, I DO question why it was necessary to make YET ANOTHER game about the same character again. I don't buy Assassin's Creed games precisely because of that reason. And I posted elsewhere under this article that I did buy Far Cry 3 because it was just so damn fun gameplay-wise but that I kind of felt…
Some other comment mentioned their reply should have been something akin to "Due to time constraints we had to cut female assassins from development but we will include them as free DLC a.s.a.p."
Good point. Even free DLC, considering that the game is guaranteed to sell millions of copies.
My understanding (from several articles and interviews I read with the developer) is that the game no longer has a "multiplayer mode" like previous games, and that all those multiplayer customization options (like choosing a character avatar) are now gone.
The game does have some co-op missions, but during those…
They certainly could and wanted to. They're claiming they just had to cut that idea out for time constraints. The backlash they are receiving from the online community might lead them to reconsider.
I certainly don't think they intentionally cut this option out because they hate women. Even assuming they did hate women…
Also, it's worth mentioning that even if you don't pick a character, it would have been better if they included female skins for the randomized roster of how you will appear to other players.
I'm not developing the game so I can't be absolutely certain of the details, but from what I gathered reading around a little, that's exactly how it's going to work. I think most of the people getting pissed off don't really understand the mechanic as it's not been implemented in too many games yet.
YES! Awesome. :)
Now THAT was an offensive game. Just plain retarded throughout, offensive depiction of the "noble savages" (which in the end are assholes), culturally moronic brotastic lead character, sex with the hot magical female shaman. It was just terrible.
True, but Watchdogs (from the same publisher) did come out with no splash animation for the guns fired in water, weird "alternate reality" reflections in the windows of buildings, and black panels beneath the car models (among other flaws). All of this as a result of "too much work" in order to deliver the game on…
They really went through all that trouble so they could be racist misogynists in the future? Wow!
More games should have female protagonists, but I'm not sold on every game having the "Captain Shepard" character creation system. Sometimes a writer wants you to share his/her vision of who the protagonist is, rather than create your own character.
I'm sorry you're making assumptions as to who I am and what I like ("But don't worry, writers aren't listening anyway so you don't have to worry about more unnecessary women in your games").
I agree that we need more games with female protagonists, but to be perfectly honest, we need better written games, period. For…
I agree that is what they SHOULD have done. From what the developers have stated, that WAS their intention, but were forced to cut it out for time constraints. I agree it's not ideal, but I don't think it's a really big deal, and I don't doubt the veracity of the reason given by the developers.
I want to see better…
