It's entertaining, I suppose, but a little too bombastic and stupid for my taste.

I prefer things to be a little more subtle

Great scene. Last generation though...

Wow, I had no idea.

I generally don't like remakes (on principle), especially when the original film is barely 10 years old. I sometimes can understand that the basic concept for an old film may want to be revisited by a newer director, but when it's done basically just to resell a product to English language audiences

Sorry, almost forgot. You must watch "Let the Right One In", a Norwegian film about vampires. It's really fucking good.

Yeah I saw the whole vengeance trilogy and loved all of it. Lady Vengeance is probably the most artistically masterful and yet it's the one I liked the least. Mr Vengeance is somewhat rough around the edges but packs a reeeeeaaal emotional punch. I recently watched stoker (Park Chan Wook's American debut), and it

Hahahaha, you have my same taste in movies. Oldboy is easily another modern movie in my top ten (along with Miller's Crossing). I haven't watched Ichi the Killer yet, but I shall remedy soon.

The Proposition is amazing.

I'm really big on watching movies, especially classics. I watch a lot of old Bergman and Fellini films and German classics like the films of Carl Theodor Dreyer. Still, the Proposition stands tall in my top 10 of films in the history of the artform. A Red Dead Game with that heavy, cruel

Shit I had totally forgotten about Taxi Drives Must Die!

That sure put a smile on my face.

I hope Rockstar gives us a custom radio station in GTAV as an update just so I can put all the GTA2 music in it.

Also, Rockstar really needs to make another Smuggler's Run game.

GTA 2 is what got me back into gaming.

I must have been in my early twenties and I hadn't touched a game or console since I was 14, when I found a PSOne in a pawnshop and on a whim I bought it with a bunch of random games.

One of them was GTA 2, which turned out to be this incredibly relaxing experience. I'd get home

Brilliant piece. Funny, raw, intelligent.

Good Luck with your life man.

There IS a satchel of money...

I voted Trevor but I like how you can tweak grooming and clothing to turn Franklin into Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction, Michael into Walter White from Breaking Bad and Trevor into Charles Manson or Nick Cave.

That re-introduction scene was perfect precisely because of how gross and violent it was.

SPOILERS ABOUT TREVOR'S INTRO IN THE GAME (IF YOU HAVEN'T ACCESSED TREVOR AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER, DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING)
Allow me to explain: Johnny Klebitz was easily my favorite character in GTA IV. Niko was always going on

I thought the exact same thing.

Shooting from the hip doesn't improve that at all. My point is: crosshairs are not needed on a pistol grip shotgun since you would generally shoot from the hip and if you are lifting the gun to fire the barrel itself is as good as any crosshairs since it's not a ranged weapon.

1) handguns are not rifles or shotguns. Handguns are designed to be extremely portable and usually have VERY contained levels of recoil, which makes it practical to lift them in front of your face and aim and fire them without a stock. 2) Rifles and shotguns are designed to be fired from the shoulder. That is how they

No, with that type of stock the gun doesn't need sights. That type of stock is designed for firing from the hip.

I second that. In fact, this is my recommendation for anyone who wants to make the most of the The Last of Us .

1) Play on Hard.
2) Play it with a good pair of headphones (hopefully Surround, but a good set of stereo headphones worked for me), and take some time to tweak the audio so it's just right for you.
3) Play

It's extremely possible (even probable) that what you are saying is true. Still, I think it's a very fresh medium and the storytelling in this medium has been overwhelmingly poor AND extremely conventional. I really can't quite clearly envision what this different storytelling would be like, but I think more
