"Console gamers want games..." So tell me, how about that uproar over the fact that the PS4 does not read CDs or support MP3's currently? I thought it "was only about the games" not "useless features"? Can't have it both ways. (Interesting tidbit, the Xbox One's launch lineup certainly seems to have the games part

I guess I've just fallen out of (or become too ADD for) super hardcore gaming, but it's crazy to me that anyone could see a video like this and say "nope, I have no interest in that and cannot see the potential for making my time in front of the TV way better."

If my gaming console can't do other things at this point, it's useless to me.

Speak for yourself. I use my xbox as more of a media device than a gaming console. I'm really looking forward to these features.

I think it is best we give these added features a chance. The world we live in today is filled with multi-function devices. Our phones, our tablets, etc. Remember that the PS3 is one of the go to devices for viewing movies and Netflix and such; which, is not gaming related.

By the looks of the video the guy was playing a video game,,I mean how are having more features a bad thing. On a side note I know you hate anything "M$" so having a discussion with you would be totally pointless, as with some people their are more then gamers in my house. I think the PS4 is amazing but as someone

I would hate to live in your world, where your blinding hate for an inanimate object shapes your thoughts in such a distorted way.

That quick snap thing is going to be pretty awesome for, as somebody mentioned, MMORPGs or anything else with a lot of waiting around, or just quickly tabbing to the internet to get a bit of help with a game.
Didn't really expect it to be that quick but to be fair MS has always been pretty good with UI's (Windows 8 not

So basically while a game is loading up or what not you can go and do other things? That is pretty fantastic, I know ESO is coming to X1 and PS4, seems like it would be a cool feature to have for a MMORPG or games that have waiting periods.

I agree with you, but you have heavy fanboy flak coming your way. MS did show that X1 would have the edge on exclusives, but you will get people who dispute that. Also, I personally prefer the ergonomics of the 360/x1 controller layout, but again people will claim blindly that the PS1 controller is better (that's what

The only difference that matters:

The Xbox One has a strong focus on all media, and is a well-rounded box. The Sony device seems to be identical in media features to the PS3. It's not as if the Xbox is prioritizing video OVER games.
