I am an active member of the AMA. They don't exactly GOVERN anyone. They are an "Academy or "Club" not a governing agency. The AMA has absolutely no legal authority to "govern" anyone. (Revoke your membership perhaps... But they cannot arrest anyone.)

The NTSB and the FAA have NO JURISDICTION over MODEL aircraft... Unless they enter controlled airspace. They have no right whatsoever to limit or restrict personal HOBBY AIRCRAFT .

Yes it CAN blind a pilot and... it HAS blinded a US Police pilot + co-pilot back in 2002... and it almost resulted in a helicopter crash. Both of the crew spent several days in the hospital and were grounded for an undisclosed period of time.

Fear not. Someone will make a cable that plugs into the dock connector and the other end plugs into your new iDevice. The phone may not "dock" in the same way... But it will still play music.
