Ok, so now you are arguing that responsibility, is the same thing as the ethical theory of Social Responsibility. Which are entirely different. Social Responsibility is the ethical thought that, all people should work towards the benefit of the society, and should forgo actions that some in the society would deem

And the diarrhea continues to flow forth from you keyboard.

/colossalfacepalm

I never said all crime contains sex workers... I said crime rich environments have higher amounts of sex workers than non crime environments. Which you agreed to

I have to disagree, there was this constant filter of green inside of buildings, like seriously I have video somewhere on my computer of me walking 1 step out of a door, only for the room to look a thousand times better, then 1 step in back to green fog.

Again, if you are going by logical consistency, a crime game would indeed feature more sex workers. By just writing off the story and theme of the setting, you are being illogical.

There is no social responsibility for a story. The author can tell the story they want to, there is no obligation to please others. You can

My thoughts exactly.

Could be fun, I don't back kickstarters however, I will probably pick it up when it's released though.

Except, you also have to take into account the environment the game takes place in. Which you are completely ignoring. Again, focuses heavily on crime in most of the games in her list, and where do sex workers usually end up? What groups would likely see more sex workers? Oh wait, it's those that don't typically

yeah, except that there are more than just female sex workers in the games. Anita seems to not notice that however, and continues to cherry pick what she wants to see. You can't say that all of them are being portrayed like that, when guess what they aren't. You are just flat out ignoring all the other cases because

Because it's heavily incentivized to get people to pay for those, by limiting things, or making other things more difficult to obtain, through an artificially inflated difficulty in obtaining them, or making them outright impossible to get. It's abusive for that reason, and it's incredibly dishonest.

Mines not gross, I compulsively clean it every day.

And those are also portrayed. GTA IV for example, since she really seems to have a problem with rockstar games. There is a primary mission giver, by the name of Elizabeta Torres, who is involved in several areas of crime, and those don't in any way involve being a sex worker.

Ah yes, because female characters in the background get treated badly, the male characters in the background should be ignored.

#feministlogic

There were actually multiple major female characters in red dead redemption, as others pointed out.

You mean like all the other disposable male characters as well?

Yes it's quite common. I actually went back to view many of them directly from replies I've gotten from people here on kotaku. With a few nuances, of course as I didn't copy them all directly from the posts.

The problem is, these are almost exact copies, direct from comments I've gotten here on Kotaku, so no I didn't pull it out of my ass, I took what others pulled out of their asses and reposted it.

Oh yeah you forgot some,

"Only men can be sexist."

Doesn't even put women in the background, one of the major characters early on is a woman. Ignores that though.

Yes, because in games where the main character is in the seedy underbelly of crime, everything is all fine and dandy for everyone involved, and of course no sex workers exist in those environments either.
