Damn it, now I'm reading my own comment in a Dalek voice.

Ahhhhh! You're a New Mexican too? I knew there was a reason I liked your articles so much. I very much remember the vote on the abortion ban last year (I think it was last year anyway), and how miserably it failed. NM is a strangely progressive state, and definitely marches to the beat of its own drum. I hope this

He's totally right - most major political accomplishments in the US were made through polite action. The suffragettes convinced everyone with their tasteful garden parties, slavery was ended through a pancake breakfast and handshake photo op, and workers rights were secured through a series of upbeat, catchy slogans.

That's what gives civil disobedience its meaning, and using the punishment as a symbol of the injustice. Otherwise, this is just people holding up a sign.

This is pretty low. A cover letter is supposed to help you show the hiring manager what you can bring to a new job, and this woman wants to use skills she's gained in the past to be a victim advocate in the future. This is probably an entry level job for her, or she'd be talkinga bout her criminal justice experience.

Y'all just jealous cause she's rockin' one leg.

Stumbling secularists!

See those three footprints? That's where I was doing jumpstyle

Galloping Godlessness!

Hopping Heathens!

That's not harsh, that's a reasonable personal policy! The idea of having sex with someone who has voted for the legalization of "you poke it you own it" is risky.

Is a member of another oppressed minority (First Nations), I disagree quite strongly with this.

I know I say this at the risk of all you kids deciding I'm "square" rather than "dope" and "slammin'", but, uh, the baker story? If someone offered me and my staff a tray of edibles without warning everyone what they were, hiring them would be RIGHT off the table and I'd more than likely call the cops, especially if

I'm glad the woman he tried to shame is one in a position to fight back and not be beaten down by his bullshit.

It makes sense that an institution with a history of telling women how to not get themselves raped would now start telling black kids how to not get themselves shot.

Commenters have called me white so many times now that they've actually turned me into a white person.
