Damn, I wish we got the Up GTI here in the States so bad. I’d buy one tomorrow.

“I have a 2011 Dodge Journey that’s worth maybe $5,000 in good condition.....”
They just came out with an RS Malibu w/ no performance upgrades of any kind, and worse drops the old 6AT for a crappy CVT.
I was in manual mode using paddles.
I’m preeety sure I had it in Sport +, but it’s possible it was just Sport. Either way, even for ‘Sport’, it felt lethargic. Like slower and less sharp than the DSG in my GTI.
Hope some of the improvements included the shift speed of the transmission, as I felt it was a noticeable step off from the units found in Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, etc. Easily the biggest letdown of the car for me.
Maybe because the Focus ST wasn’t a better car?
Should be interesting. Fwiw, I don’t think it’s a bad move on RB’s part. I think Gasly has potential. Wonder how he’ll pair with Verstappen, though.
I make a chunky sauce with tomatillos, serrano pepper, onions, garlic, and a little bit of cilantro cooked on the stove top. The acidity of the tomatillos, freshness of the cilantro, heat of the chiles, and sweetness of the onions are wonderfully balanced and compliment the steak perfectly.
Man, Jeep is really flooding the market with new crossovers.
There are a few of these right around where I live and they work great. I fully support these becoming more popular.
The new Vantage is extremely appealing. I can’t wait to give one a go. I drove the outgoing dogleg 7MT Vantage V12 S and it was a transcendent experience.
I am generally anti-convertibles, but this is a car I can understand making that exception on. It certainly amplifies its enjoyment/proficiency at cruising/joy riding, even it does come at a price in terms of athleticism and performance.
Even the R8, to it’s credit feels more special than the Turbo, imo. That spectacular N/A V10 alone is reason enough to buy one over the Turbo. The styling is an added bonus.
A GTS Coupe 2 w/ a manual is a completely fantastic car. Would take one over this Turbo S all day. The 60K savings is just a bonus. And almost enough for a new RS3 as your daily.
Some of the cars still have it.
Huge Porsche fan here, and have experience driving this car and its brethren of various trims.
All the stars.
Lovely cars, and I thought for sure a convertible RS5 would be my next car. Until I drove one. Without the roof, they have the stiffness and rigidity of a wet noodle. Instant deal breaker for me. And before I bought a coupe, I’d just get an older 911, or spend a bit more and get a V8 F Type.
1. Sterilize this individual so they cannot reproduce (anymore, at least).
