It was just very stiff and lacking a sense of weight and form to it which is over all my general complaint regarding the style. I wish they had tried to catch more of the fluidity of the original artwork rather than focus so much on the proportions of it.

Exactly. People seem to forget that the style for shows like Kill la Kill work ~because~ of the kind of story and show it's set up to be. Trying to set up Sailor Moon in any level of semblance to Kill la Kill would be painfully offensive to the original concept of the story.

The Animation Industry actually has similarly set standards with very very strict pay regulations. It went through a very very similar volatile stage that the Video Game industry is currently going through but they finally unionized to a point where a lot of people hired are essentially freelancers who work relatively

If I remember correctly, Dubs are coming later. They've actually picked an entirely new voice acting cast approved by Naoko herself and I'm assuming that will likely take some time before it's completed and ready for release.

"If anything, the video feels like surface-layer self-indulgence of the more stereotypical Japanese image as perceived by a foreigner. "

Seeing the box art for this made me so happy. It has such a lovely old school Final Fantasy artwork feel to it. Ah~~~~

The reality is that you don't know who was let go of. It could have been a huge percentage of artists, be the 2D and 3D and best of luck to them for trying to find work since those opportunities are scarce in comparison to programming.

It's absolutely horrifying, isn't it? The industry needs to start unionizing or Video games in and of themselves will pretty much stop existing within our life times.

The gaming industry is becoming an incredibly scary place. I don't fully understand how people expect games to really last very long and progress when this is literally the expected thing to happen right now. As someone wanting to get into games, every time I hear about this news it gives me a second thought. There's

Aside from the fact that they used some ridiculously overplayed tropes in this ... I am so god damn excited for the game play of this holy hell

I think the bigger over arching point that was trying to be made is that hyper realism in general is going to end up killing itself since it doesn't age well and can be come incredibly repetitive and boring very quickly since we literally see that every fucking day.

So why hasn't the video game industry unionized yet?

You... you do realize that harassment in the industry is a legitimate problem and people SHOULD talk about it because ignoring harassment doesn't make it go away? I seriously thought this was in Harassment 101 ("Ignoring" Perpetrators only gives them more incentiveto harass their victim because they know that they

I didn't know that actual Moderation and Functioning Reporting systems didn't exist. Hah. I hope you realize that a lot of this harassment occurs on public forums such as Reddit, Tumblr, DeviantArt, and the like where these comments are displayed publicly and openly. People who run these websites need to actively make

It doesn't matter if they're empty or not. The fact of the matter is that chances are these people are being bombarded by them. Do you know how exhausting it is to have to deal with that much verbal harassment, whether they intend on acting out on it or not? The point of these threats isn't to actually act on them.

Exactly - Introversion doesn't mean you can't have high energy, that you can't be sociable and capable of interacting with other human beings or that you're by default shy. Introversion has more to do with how you end up processing these interactions at the end of the day. It's easy for people to read me as an

Okay, let's get something clear - There's a huge difference between having people dislike what you create (which is a given. Creativity is not an objective force, and involves a lot of personal bias which is not bad, it just means that everyone has their own personal preference regarding it) and people actively hating

The only time I've ever seen it written is in my mother's recipe book that was typed on an insanely old school type writer and leather bound (I have my eye on that thing so god damn hard. I know it's terrible to think about things you want your parents to leave you when they pass long before they do but god dammit I

Wow, Good thing I get paid right before it comes out.
