I've gone two-way Crossfire for my current computer... and I don't think I will next time. Too many driver issues, performance is a crapshoot between nearly perfect 2x scaling and ridiculously bad sub 1x scaling (yes, performance degradation from having MORE power!), with a lot more instances being close to 1x than

Wish I could lower the number of cards I carry, but it seems like 8's about the minimum. ATM, credit, driver's license, 2 transit cards (I use 2 different networks), university ID, hospital ID, health ID. It's still way too many, but I can't scan them (either digital copies are invalid or the cards are RFID/magnetic

Actually, no. My plan is modular, voice and data separately. I could, if I so desired, take my own smartphone on a voice plan only and they have no clause forcing me to take data. If I want a *subsidized* phone, then sure, they can restrict me however they wish as long as they make the terms clear (they usually just

Earbuds sit in the ear, but do not enter the canal. IEMs enter the canal to provide a better seal and thus better audio quality.

Because Windows 8 has improvements over Windows 7? Off the top of my head, the task manager's been rebuilt, the file copy process is streamlined and more robust, there's much better multi-monitor support, and it boots a lot faster.

For those of you running a rooted Android phone with a Wolfson DAC, I can heartily recommend installing Voodoo Sound. Voodoo Sound Plus (paid for but rather cheap) lets you take advantage of tweaked drivers without needing to flash a custom ROM.

That's assuming they have direct access to the hash, at which point the site has been breached and you should already have changed your password. If you have not been alerted then you should not do business with the site again, or take additional precautions when dealing with them.

It's definitely more relaxing to the eyes when in low light conditions. Not as much light shone straight at your eyes.

This has nothing to do with WPA2. MS-CHAPv2 is only used in fairly old VPN setups and does not imply any kind of vulnerability with WPA2, be it TKIP or AES, though you should use AES to be on the safe side anyway.

The one killer feature I don't see listed here is that Gmail lets you send emails as another address and fetch mails from said address. I use it to centralize all my emails across a bunch of different services, which effectively transforms Gmail into an online version of Thunderbird.

VOTE: Logitech G700. Love the textured material and general understated appearance, love the bunch of buttons, love the wired/wireless hybrid, love the awesome scroll wheel.

Worth noting that FLAC is natively supported by Android since ICS.

Depends on the reader. I don't know about the Nook (whatever the variant), but my Sony doesn't use a capacitive or resistive layer, instead opting for infrared sensors and emitters on the bezel. Pristine image quality while preserving full touch responsiveness.

Opera's rendering engine is at the forefront of web standards. IE9 has made tremendous progress compared to IE8 but we're still far from parity.

Usually your OS will tell you what kind of protection is used by the network when you connect to it.

Assembly depends on computer architecture, that's it. Considering 95% of the computer world is on x86-64, that's not really an issue.
