Thanks for the reminder, I'd forgotten about disabling WPS on my router.

HP's TouchPad is a webOS tablet, not Android. It's just that with the fire sale, tons of people got it, which prompted the creation of an Android port for it. It's not official, it requires some messing around, but it does make a fairly nice Android tablet in the end.

You're acting as if talking on your phone was an absolute necessity that cannot possibly wait until you are stopped or out of your car.

To be fair, OpenGL dropped the ball rather severely. There was a point where OGL and DX were in a heated contest, but then OGL just melted down. DX kept going forward and is in fact a very nice API.

Tried Dexpot?

Google for RT7 Lite.

Aero is quite a bit more lightweight than Compiz and certainly far less buggy. Let's not talk about Unity or GNOME 3 eh?

I'm sorry, you're either OpenBox or you turn in your geek card.

Cellphones kill more people through driving accidents than they ever possibly could through cancer, assuming you think this true.

Skyrim on Xbox, when your current PC can easily run the game? That'd be foolish; you'd miss out on better graphics and mods, especially mods.

The only real way to take notes is direct LaTeX transcription with TikZ/PGF for diagrams!

Android is released under the Apache license. In the very worst case, Google would close up future releases of Android, but would be under the obligation to release Honeycomb's source and to leave past version sources also available. Handset manufacturers or the opensource community could then fork Android from that

Interestingly, this is very reminiscent of Openbox, a Linux window manager. Most of the functions of the WM are accessible through a simple right click on the desktop. However, its abilities are far, far wider (you can go as far as scripting the menu to display dynamic items).

My current desktop has a 1000W PSU. While it rarely draws that much (it's in fact more efficient than lower rated PSUs thanks to that), I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit 500-600W at peak usage (gaming, computational work). Office work shouldn't go higher than 200-300W though.

They're free to own my entirely useless random data (aka TrueCrypt container).

I know this is only tangentially related, but I would honestly not even suggest using a credit card. Find a way to pay cash or, if absolutely necessary, use a throwaway card, if possible of the "prefilled" type. This is because many car rental companies will be entirely fine with grabbing more money from your card

@nefar: And what's wrong with nuclear, exactly? If you said coal, I would've agreed, but...

@akshay2000: To add to what Cornflower said, the reason Lorem Ipsum is chosen specifically is because most people do not read Latin, so it does not actually make sense to them, yet the word distribution is still similar to that of the final language(s) that will be used, giving a better impression than to, say, repeat

Funny, that, since I thought it mostly required viciousness, lack of morality, snobbery, lack of judgement and a dominating attitude. I might give you fearlessness, but not for the reasons listed.
