being someone who has all three current-gen consoles and a PC, it’s quite enjoyable to see the fanboys bicker about their consoles. I have no allegiance to any particular platform because I just enjoy playing games.

Weak characters? I’d say everyone outside of Vaan and Panelo (which is almost intended) are pretty great. Some of the best in a Final Fantasy game. That includes some of the more periphery characters, like Gabranth, Vossler and Reddas.

Overwhelming support is a bit of a stretch. People were supportive because they love street fighter and wanted a sequel, but most people had a negative response to their release plans. The only reason people really were in support is because they bought into the rhetoric from capcom that this was somehow a good thing…

I can’t believe I bought this lousy game. I played it for a week when it came out, it was fun, but jesus they really upped the ante on the whole “release part of a game and with hold content to release as DLC later”. Even the “free” updates, they obviously pushed to release an unfinished game in time to meet the end…
