I just wish this was easier to set up. It’s pretty intimidating really, with Python and all the dependancies, etc. I was going to set it up, but after seeing the installation guide, gave up lol. If someone ever creates an installation package, they’d be a hero to artists like myself who have no coding experience with…
Neural Networks researcher here:
The underlying network was trained on a task of classifying images belonging to 1000 categories - of which about 200 were different breeds of dog! It learnt all the fine-grained structure to classify dogs really well. So most of the stuff that the network learnt was about dogs. It…

That’s kinda... morally wrong. This guy sounds like he’s kind of a jerk. Seriously, who just does that? In any industry?
If you’ve never read The Stand, the premise is one of King’s most ambitious: a man-made sickness escapes from a government lab and kills roughly %99 of the population of the United States (the rest of the world is presumed infected as well, but King sticks to North America).

Most of the time the launch goes flawlessly. It’s the landing (a totally new thing that nobody has done) that they’re still working on. And to be fair, they’ve gotten really close to sticking the landing, and the last two times it failed, it was for different reasons.
You know what?
I don’t mind that kind of realism at all.
DON’T. PRE. ORDER. IT.
Really? Is this really the argument you want to go with? One of the most dramatic changes to Windows, based on community feedback and some pretty hardcore backtracking, and you suggest this background image does nothing but put lipstick on a pig? And you're going to buy a Mac (which comes with fancy backgrounds too)…
Oh man - haters got to hate. I think it is nice to see Microsoft putting a little more effort and creativity into these things. Fortunately, for those that don’t like it, it should be easy enough to change.
