Ford is killing it in SUVs and sedans alike right now. Our flex is somehow bigger on the inside than it is on the outside and has plenty of power despite the ~5000 lb curb weight.

I’m too cheap to run fancy tires in a $6500 car, but I got a set of cooper CS5 ultra tourings for $260 (after a rebate) after reading the motor trend review, and they’re great for the price. Between those and the Acura sway bar, it may not be a track car but it’s a great daily driver. I was hoping to get a “fun car”…

Yeah, it’s less efficient, so you pump more of it, which affects your MPGs. But at $2 a gallon instead of $5 for 100 octane racing fuel? It’s no contest.

E85 is cheaper than regular and 100-105 octane. Yes, you get less total energy so your MPGs are worse, but for example the Koenigsegg CCX gets 20% more HP on E85.

The ethanol is how you get the octane number up. E85 is between 100 and 105 octane depending on the specific blend. And it’s cheaper than regular.

I had a B5 with the 1.8 turbo, which had all the same electrical and interior problems, the delightful smell of crayons and collapsing window regulators, plus a hideously undersized oil pan which combined with the turbo would rapidly convert fully synthetic 5w40 into sludge.

All VWs are reliable when they’re two years old. It’s the combination of everything breaking after 5-7 years and the massive repair expenses that make them traumatizing.

So all of the OE’s since they ALL suck at infotainment, need to contract this out to Apple, Google, or Microsoft. Let them come up with the standard and implement it across the board.
